Great ~ I have stayed here many times. The bathroom has been renovated, clean and hygienic, and the location is convenient. What I like most is the delicious breakfast. The two dishes are slightly different. Sun Moon Lake is my first choice!

The guests haven't arrived yet. I will ask first and it feels good. The friendly reception at the hotel is very good. The room is clean and tidy.

The room environment is clean and the location is very good. Just outside the door is the old street of Itashao Wharf, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. The staff at the counter were very helpful and explained the travel itinerary in detail. Breakfast was also delicious.

We stayed one night in late Nov. This hotel is located in a very busy area with many shops and restaurants nearby but it was quiet in our room. The hotel's free parking lot is very helpful. Breakfast (included) is bento-style and there is more food and drink on a bench. The room fridge has box drinks of tea and juice for guests. Highly recommended while visiting SML.

Amazed at the lack of reviews here for this place. We stayed at Ita Thao for 1 night in a "side lake view" twin room and it just exceeded our expectations, especially for the price. Reception was friendly. We got to pick 7:30, 8 or 8:30am time slots for our free breakfast and had our preferences checked (vegetarian etc). The breakfast was Aboriginal *********? served bento-style...not my usual fare, but light and tasty even for a fussy eater like myself. You can also top up with bread and jam, rice, and I forget what else from the nearby bench, which also had coffee and juice. The room was so spacious- we got 2 very comfortable double twin beds, a nice view, so much amenities...we were told we could keep the new face towels provided in a basket and the fridge (though a bit wobbly) had free drinks (water, juice and delicious milk tea) inside. TV had English channels like US ABC News. Location is great- close to the pier, but still quiet at night, and there's a boardwalk from there that takes you straight to the Ropeway. Some minor things: there's no heating in the room, but the blankets are warm enough. The toilet seat is not soft close. Brighter lighting over the mirrors would be nice.

Hotel were manned by 2 people, a gentlemen in the day and a lady at night. The gentlement was very welcoming and showed us around the small town the moment we arrived. Room was also clean and has basic ammeneties. Breakfast given must be collected downstairs and eaten in the room though. Bath Shampoo and Soap were of decent quality. The hotel was within walking distance to the pier and bus stop. And in the middle of the bustling small village
