Hotels Near Chiesa dell'Ave Gratia Plena in Naples

I booked three rooms of the same type, two of which were over 20 square meters in size, with separate wet and dry bathrooms, and one of which was barrier-free. The room I stayed in was very small, only big enough to put a suitcase, and the other one could only be placed in the corridor at the door of the bathroom, which was very inconvenient to enter and exit. The bathroom was not separated into wet and dry areas, and it was very wet and uncomfortable for two nights. The room has a balcony, just opposite the train station, with convenient transportation, good breakfast, and many restaurants nearby.

Firstly the positives. The location is very good for the train station and the airport. The rooms are a decent size and the staff were efficient although not hugely friendly. This hotel is very much a case of getting what you pay for. Its fine as a base to sleep in but if you're looking for any kind of luxury then it's not great The area the hotel is in is one of the poorer parts of the city. There's a lot of homeless people outside and all of the things that come with that, although they don't seem to bother the tourists. The road is exceptionally noisy although the windows do a decent job of blocking most of the noise out. The hotel itself is dated, the roof bar wasn't open during our stay and we didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that The room was very dated very dark and gloomy. The double bed was two beds pushed together and the sheets were uncomfortable and scratchy. The TV didn't work properly nor did the fridge. The bathroom flooded every time we had a shower as it appeared to come out of the floor drain whenever the shower was on or the bath emptied and the shower head was at knee height so you had to hold it up to have a shower. Having said that if you just wanted a place to stay with no frills and cheap then this is fine.

We missed our train from Naples to Rome, being there last train of the night we were left to scramble to find a room at 11:00 pm in a city of which we were not familiar. With many hotels booked, our options were limited. We came across Hotel Vergilius Billia and could not be more pleased! Sabrina at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful!! The room was spotless and spacious! The bathroom was beautiful! In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast! We highly recommend if you are in Naples a stay Hotel Vergilius Billia!

Siamo stati davvero felici di trascorrere una notte al Philip Royal B&B il 29 gennaio e se avessimo avuto la possibilità, avremmo volentieri prolungato il nostro soggiorno. La posizione di questo B&B, proprio di fronte alla stazione centrale di Napoli, è davvero comoda. Ci ha colpito particolarmente la cura con cui è gestito da personale altamente qualificato che dimostra una grande passione per il loro lavoro. La nostra camera, la numero 501, era semplicemente perfetta: spaziosa, impeccabilmente pulita e con una vista mozzafiato sul Vesuvio dal balcone. Inoltre, abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo la colazione deliziosa che ci è stata servita direttamente in camera. Vorremmo ringraziare di cuore Francesco e Arianna, che si sono dimostrati estremamente gentili e sempre sorridenti. Senza dubbio, rappresentano il punto di forza di questo B&B. Se ci sarà l'opportunità, torneremo sicuramente. Grazie di cuore ragazzi!

The bed is super comfortable, the breakfast is great and it's nice having a little balcony. Trip.com says the room has a kettle but it doesn't. In the winter it would be nice to have a kettle as well as slippers to walk on the cold marble floor, especially since I can't control the heat as it's controlled by the front desk. The front desk staff are very helpful with ordering taxis with flat rates so you won't get cheated.

If I could give this place a negative star rating I would. Do NOT stay at this place. It is a scam. We booked through lastminute.com looking forward to a short city break to naples/pompeii and it turned out to be the worst 3 nights of my life. Our check-in information mentioned we could get our room at 11am so, as we had an early morniny flight, got to the hotel just after 11 expecting our room to be ready. We were told to give them an hour. We returned just after 12 and were told it was still not ready and were guided upstairs after a further 45 minutes of waiting the room was finally ready and we were relieved! BUT this is where the hell started. We were taken outside of the hotel casablanca reception area to a separate “hotel” a 5 minute walk away called hotel siri. The area was a building site and the room looked like a bedsit. I kid you not, at this place I believe I could have contracted hepatitis. Understandably we complained informing the hotel this is not what we had booked and were taken back to the reception to speak to the “director”. When we got to the reception area we were met with 2 hostile people refusing to speak in English to us informing that they now could not speak English when they were conversing with us only a short while earlier. They then moved us into a room in the main Hotel Casablanca. However, we did not feel safe staying in this hotel and had to spend valuable time during our holiday finding a new accommodation that we could relax in. We are still awaiting information from lastminute.com and the so-called hotel on a a refund. Which after the shambolic service/attitude, dishonesty, lies and deceit we encountered during our first few moments in naples, we believe is entitled. I emplore you - DO NOT book this hotel. You will get scammed just like we did. Lastminute.com YOU must do something to stop this from happening. I expect to be hearing from you again to correct this. What was meant to be a relaxing, fun break turned out to be 3 nights in HELL.

Very nice hotel located along the water. Balconies face the waterfront with a couple chairs and a table on each balcony. Large, well-appointed rooms. Huge breakfast buffet with waitstaff available to get specialty coffee drinks made to order. Large hotel that often has conferences, so reception area can be very busy. Reception staff not very friendly, but breakfast staff were very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants.

Io e il mio ragazzo abiamo trascorso una notte di relax in una delle Junior Suite di questo hotel scoperto per caso ma che si è rivelato una piacevole scoperta. La camera dal design rustico, così come il resto dell'hotel, l'angolo della vasca idromassaggio con finte decorazioni floreali e luci a LED colorate creano un'a**osfera intima, rilassante e suggestiva. La chicca che abbiamo adorato è stata la cassa bluetooth per ascoltare la musica in vasca! La stanza era dotata tutti i servizi necessari, la pulizia top e ci hanno dato la possibilità di cenare in camera ordinando dall'esterno (noi abbiamo chiamato Glovo, ma ci hanno offerto dei volantini di qualche pizzeria/ristorante nei dintorni). Abbiamo anche apprezzato moltissimo gli orari di check-in e check-out (si poteva lasciare la camera entro le 12.00 facendo tutto con molta calma) e la colazione poteva essere sia ordinata e servita in camera scannerizzando un QR CODE, sia consumata al bar (fino alle 11.30) in cui abbiamo trovato un piccolo buffet davvero ben fornito, variegato e con prodotti di qualità. Sicuramente il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo e siamo rimasti sorpresi e soddisfatti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

The hotel was located close to beaches, local shops and restaurants. Hotel facilities also included a bar, restaurant, pool, hot tub and had ample onsite parking. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items, and also offered delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotels room were a good size, the AC ran nice and cold (essential in the Neapolitan heat). The rooms were also spotlessly clean and comfortable. But, I would say what was really special about this hotel was the staff they were simply amazing, so friendly and helpful. Hotel Agora definitely had the family run feel with all the bells and whistles of a big chain hotel. I would say it is perfect for all groups families, couples and singles. I would absolutely go back!
