It is also a tourist hotel belonging to the local old people. The inside of the hotel is very clean, mainly because it is a bit messy outside, especially there are many bars around, and there will be loud drunk noise in the middle of the night. However, the location is very good. If you can physically, the attractions in the city center are within walking distance, or you can take a subway to Dante Square in the back and walk to the subway station in 5 minutes. The front desk service is good, the booked room is not good, the beauties helped to upgrade the room for half an hour and explained it very clearly. Breakfast is good, there is no parking lot, the standard room is small and no extra bed is available. We upgraded the standard room to the apartment. The apartment is very good. The sofa bed should be 4 feet, and there are two bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Still recommended, but the price is not very high.

It was very close to Naples Centrare Station and close to subway stations, which was really nice. However, the atmosphere on the road from Porta Nolana Station in Naples was so bad. I didn't even dream of going out as soon as I arrived at the hotel in the evening. But the next morning, I went out on the other side and walked around because the streets on that side were clean and I could go to a delicious cafe. It was so goodš
The person who took care of my luggage was very kind and the air conditioner in the room was great, so I am very satisfied with this price! If you're still worried, I'd recommend it to men rather than women!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during a visit to Naples. The location is very convenient, walking distance from the old city and next to the underground and train station. The building has been very tastefully refurbished, the rooms were clean and breakfast lovely. There is an amazing roof terrace to grab a drink or dine, with beautiful plants and a wonderful view! A special mention for the staff: everybody was attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will come back if we have the chance.

To begin with, the person at the reception was a RUDE, aggressive woman. Her attitude was that she was doing us a favour by letting us stay in the hotel. She mans the breakfast counter too..Be prepared to encounter her BAD attitude there too. Breakfast is just some breads, cereals and beverages. No fruit or eggs or cold cuts. Linen is reasonably clean and towels are changed everyday. It could be a good hotel if the management was positive and welcoming of tourists. Would not recommend at all.

We missed our train from Naples to Rome, being there last train of the night we were left to scramble to find a room at 11:00 pm in a city of which we were not familiar. With many hotels booked, our options were limited. We came across Hotel Vergilius Billia and could not be more pleased! Sabrina at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful!! The room was spotless and spacious! The bathroom was beautiful! In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast! We highly recommend if you are in Naples a stay Hotel Vergilius Billia!

I booked three rooms of the same type, two of which were over 20 square meters in size, with separate wet and dry bathrooms, and one of which was barrier-free. The room I stayed in was very small, only big enough to put a suitcase, and the other one could only be placed in the corridor at the door of the bathroom, which was very inconvenient to enter and exit. The bathroom was not separated into wet and dry areas, and it was very wet and uncomfortable for two nights. The room has a balcony, just opposite the train station, with convenient transportation, good breakfast, and many restaurants nearby.

Couples visit to Naples. Location - Good location just by the main train station (you can get Alibis straight from airport) with excellent transport links into main area of Naples via the Metro and beyond to Pompeii / Sorento etc. The immediate vicinity is a little rough but you can access the Hotel straight through the station so you donāt need to walk the local streets if you donāt want to. Head to baggage drop area in the station and continue on and take a right and it is signposted. Service - Good. Quick and straightforward. Checking in was literally 5 minutes if that and check out was 2 minutes. Staff friendly and polite. Hotel reception - clean tidy and modern. Hotel room - Superior double with a balcony. The room was clean and tidy and modern. Small TV, small mini fridge. Kettle with Tea included (no coffee tho) bathroom was clean and tidy. Bed a little hard and air-con stopped working during stay on the last night. Food - didnāt have the breakfast as couldnāt be bothered but had the breakfast room on the Sunday and it was good enough for a small bite. Would we visit the hotel again or recommend - itās good value for money and once you know how to use Metro etc itās a decent base for a really good price. Expect 3 star standard and you will be happy.

What a wonderful experience!!! The room was just perfect. Extremely spacious room and the tub/jacuzzi was an excellent addition. Bathroom was a comfortable size. Kitchenette was also a wonderful surprise (I donāt remember reading about it when I booked). Mini fridge was perfect to keep water bottle and beverages cold. Very cleaned and beautifully presented. The view from the room was just great and the location couldnāt be more perfect. Walking distance from the port (great as I had planned on visiting Capri and Ischia) and many other sightseeing musts. Also many places to eat and stores around the block. The host was also extremely helpful, charming and attentive. She allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby and do check-in early as we were ready visit and sightsee many places as soon as we got there around noon. She was also of great help after we checked-out, as I accidentally left the car keys in the lobby, I was able to recover them. All in all we had a great experience and time and will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel located along the water. Balconies face the waterfront with a couple chairs and a table on each balcony. Large, well-appointed rooms. Huge breakfast buffet with waitstaff available to get specialty coffee drinks made to order. Large hotel that often has conferences, so reception area can be very busy. Reception staff not very friendly, but breakfast staff were very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants.

RRip RipWe booked feeling a little nervous as we read the various reviews but also hesitated with little experience of a B&B Guest house.
There seemed very few choices in Naples ( Chiaia district) a prime , safer area ; to have a suite with some kitchenette and a very reasonable price.
We were warmly welcomed to our studio suite, spacious , well organised with a lot of thought in the location of design of fixtures and furniture; seating to take breakfast, working desk and or relax on the sofa.
Brightly lit room with big ācan openā sound proof windows or option to use the air conditioning system . Views of the nearby residential apar**ents actually helped us feel at home ( even though we were not able to enjoy the Naples sea view)
Bed, mattress , linen and pillows were fine ( for those who require more specific finer finishes should not go to a Guest house)
Bathroom was practical and had all that one needed, with hand held shower and rain shower installed.
Kitchenette had electric stove , coffee maker, kettle , Fridge and utensils. Again sufficient for a 4 night stay.
Any longer an oven or toaster would have been nice to heat up bread.
The highlight worth mentioning, as most reviews have , is Massimo who helped us with recommendations, guided us with a local map, booked day tour to Pompeii, our taxi and so much more..
Honestly, for those of us who have been lucky to stay in 5 star hotels will know that you donāt always get this type of discreet professional reliable hospitality that Massimo has shown us.
If you donāt mind staying at a guest house which may sound daunting , or that the entrance of the building may be slightly off the side street but having read this review will reassure you that the 24 hours security guards and the gated premises made it feel like a home away from home.

GGuest User3rd hotel weāve stayed in on Piazza Garibaldi. The location might be a problem for some as there are a lot of people hanging around in the square and side streets but it felt safe to me. In fact I enjoyed sitting on our first floor balcony 12 feet above the pavement where a lot of locals were hanging out; it added to the charm of the place. It has a tiny ground floor footprint and is accessed via a door in the side street. Pretty unremarkable on arrival. But when you get onto the first floor the corridors and bedrooms are white marble throughout - floor and walls. It does look good but means the corridors are echoey. Room itself is good quality but I have concerns about the bathrooms and particularly the shower. Any interior designer surely knows that wet feet on untreated marble are a nasty accident waiting to happen: the 2 just donāt mix. The marble floor of the shower is downright dangerous; once youāve rinsed off the shower gel, etc being in the shower is like driving with bald tyres on black ice. Thereās nothing to hold onto to steady yourself either. I urge the hotel to provide a Bath mat in each room to mitigate this risk. But for this Iād have scored it 4. Breakfast is taken in the basement and I thought it fine. All the staff we spoke to were pleasant and professional.

GGuest User Ho alloggiato dal 15 al 17 aprile 2023 in questo b&b con il mio ragazzo. Inutile dire che non ci vedranno MAI piĆ¹. Arriviamo in una zona degradata, piena di ragazzi di colore che ti guardano male, svestiti, mal nutriti, che cercavano nei cassonetti e camminavano scalzi. Nonostante questo aspettiamo Paolo , il nostro addetto al check-in, davanti il portone. Erano le 08:30 del mattino, arriva e dice pure che aveva tardato perchĆ© era un orario straordinario per arrivare quello, quando noi volevamo lasciare solo i bagagli e andare via. Comunque ci ha fatto pagare e ci ha chiesto 10ā¬ in piĆ¹ per le tasse, noi abbiamo detto che era tutto compreso e non ha chiesto piĆ¹ nulla e poi ci ha aperto la stanza. Stanza carina e normale, peccato per gli asciugamani pieni di macchie gialle, ma noi avevamo le nostre per fortuna. All entrata del B&b si trova una saletta con dei tavolini e delle signore che la mattina preparano la colazione inclusa nel prezzo , di cui noi non abbiamo usufruito perchĆ© irritati dai rumori e dalle voci delle stesse alle 07:30 di mattina che purtroppo ci hanno svegliato tutti e due giorni. Per quei pochi giorni di relax che una persona ha, vorrebbe svegliarsi all orario che le pare, ma vabbĆØ . La prima sera usciamo di casa e troviamo dentro il cortile del palazzo su per giĆ¹ 10 ragazzi di colore chi in piedi chi coricati a terra e chi mangiava. Usciamo e decidiamo di chiamare il proprietario per lamentarci della situazione poco sicura e ci risponde con ānon so che dirtiā e alla nostra affermazione che potevamo ritornare dopo cena solo accompagnati dalle forze dell ordine, risponde con āse vi fa sentire piĆ¹ sicuriā. Nel frattempo avevamo cercato pure Paolo che dopo averci detto come poteva aiutarci, presentatogli il problema visualizza e non risponde. Non solo, tornati nel B&b e per fortuna c era solo un ragazzo che dormiva davanti il portone, le chiavi non funzionano bene. CioĆØ non puoi fare neanche di fretta perchĆ© devi provare ad aprire 2-3 volte. Noi ve lo consigliamo, ci siamo trovati male e non abbiamo avuto nessun appoggio e aiuto, potevano trovarsi benissimo li solo delle ragazze e essere aggredite.

We stayed at Chez Moi for 4 nights. The hotel is located very near the Napoli Centrale station and thus, it is very easy to take the train to various other cities. Also the harbour (the ferries to Amalfi, Capri etc) is within walking distance. Even though they say that Napoli is unsafe and full of thieves, we did not experience the area where the hotel is located as such. Our room window was to the courtyard so we did not hear anything from the street. Our room had been changed without telling us in advance to another, smaller room but we received compensation so we were okay with that. The room was clean and tidy and the beds comfy but a minus goes to the bathroom. It was in a serious need of updating and the shower did not work very well. At some point during our stay, the toilet chair started leaking water but the staff fixed it quickly. The balconies are not real balconies but so called French balconies where you cannot sit. The air conditioner worked well. Our room was located next to the reception and our door did not block any noice so starting at 7 am we started hearing the door bell and the phone ringing etc. The cleaning of the room worked as excepted. Not sure if the bed sheets were changed every day but the towels were. The breakfast was OK, really nothing to highlight but it worked. The staff was friendly but sometimes we could hear them to our room arguing loudly with other guests. If you are looking for a budget hotel with a great location, we would recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a perfect experience, please skip.

GGuest UserI had a short overnight stay so the location is ideal about 400m walking from the main train station. Although a good location it is not a good area at night, a lot of homeless people but there are also some nice restaurants on Garabaldi Square and good coffee shops nearby for pastries and coffee for breakfast. The Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the building, big staircase and as others say no lift. Not good for older people or if you have big luggage to carry. The Checkin was fine, the man explained the basics and took me to my room. The cleanliness was perfect, so clean, plenty of fresh white towels, and bathroom was spotless, no problem there. He also gave me the remote control for the air conditioning and that also worked really great so you could sleep well. Bed was fine, seemed clean also, as someone said Quirky decoration. And surprisingly quiet. So if you arenāt after a fancy hotel room itās fine. Only Basic liquid soap amenity supplied. The Front door is locked at 8 pm, and the hotel rooms access, they give you a keys to access, so it seems quite safe, closing early in that area is probably a good thing . Easy to walk to the Old Town and all the sights.

GGuest UserSono stata in questa struttura con tutta la mia famiglia allargata per la vittoria dello scudetto del Napoli. Il posto ĆØ carinissimo, comodo per il parcheggio, nel cuore di Pompei. In 6 adulti con 3 bambini siamo stati accolti benissimo e le camere erano giĆ sistemate per le nostre esigenze. Abbiamo visitato Pompei, il centro di napoli e Positano in solo due giorni...la signora Anna ĆØ meravigliosa, super accogliente e disponibile anche per accompagnare la clientela nei punti strategici della cittĆ . Ci ha offerto anche delle verdure fresche del suo orto che sono state graditissime. Sicuramente torneremo in questa casa, perchĆ© ci siamo sentiti coccolati da ogni punto di vista. I letti sono comodi e la zona silenziosa. Tutto pulitissimo e i bagni sono accessoriati di tutto e praticamente nuovi. C'ĆØ anche un frigorifero in ogni stanza. Super consigliato.
