Very nice. The hotel staff is very helpful to introduce the hotel facilities. The hot spring including the washing room is very tidy. The dinner and breakfast are vdelicous.

Nice hotel with a nice view on the pagoda of Nara Park (which however is under renovation at the moment). The hotel offers private baths (reservation required) but they are not hot springs bath. The localisation was perfect (walking distance to Nara Park) and the personnel was nice and very helpful. We had a great stay. Only downside is that the hotel doesn't offer western beds (only Japanese futons).

Location is excellent and good view

Thank you for spending a relaxing, unforgettable and charming day at Asukasou. First of all, it is hard to imagine that this is a hotel that has been renovated (not opened for the first time) for nearly 40 years. It should be very well-known in the local area. After all, a hotel over 40 years old must be the childhood memory of many locals. So when taking a taxi, Asukasou drivers know that the hotel is very neat and clean. Although there are some traces of the old times, the overall maintenance level is very good. Secondly, for us from China, the tatami room has the freshness of experiencing foreign culture. Although some Western guests complained about the damp and moldy smell, it should be that they are not used to the smell of tatami itself, which is similar to the smell of our country's straw mats. Finally, we also booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The dinner ceremony and experience are really good. Maybe we haven't eaten too advanced kaiseki cuisine ourselves. Although the breakfast is a set meal, it is rich in variety and large in quantity. Overall, the room rate with breakfast and dinner seems expensive, but it is worth the money in terms of experience. The only regret is that the five-story pagoda is under renovation during this period, which wastes the excellent view of the room, and therefore I am not in the mood to experience the hotel's private hot spring, which is really a pity. During the trip to Japan, I was exhausted from the journey. Only one night here, I was completely relaxed and healed not only physically but also mentally. I would like to come again if I have the chance.

The location of the hotel is very good. You can walk to Kofuku-ji Temple and Dongxiang Commercial Street in 5 minutes. It is very convenient for eating and shopping. The room is very large and clean. The most surprising thing is that the hotel's hot spring is not a sento, but a real hot spring with carbonated spring quality. The private bath environment is also very good and you can see the five-story pagoda outside. In short, Asukasou completely exceeded my expectations.

Cons: After being very polite, they are still very stubborn. I clearly booked a large room with a tower view, but the tower is being repaired now. I heard that it will be fenced off in April, but I didn't tell you. After all, your room is priced according to different views. It is very undesirable to use this as a selling point. What's more, I booked it after the renovation. Aren't they very particular about rules? How come there are no rules for this! Let everyone know in the comments to avoid spoilers. Conclusion: Ctrip's after-sales service is really good now. If you need it, they will help you solve it. If you can't solve it, you can do it yourself. It's still super reassuring to book Ctrip.

The hotel's location is about a ten-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station. You can walk along the east-facing commercial street, which is quite easy to find. The scenery right outside Saruzawa Pond is very good. The 65-square-meter family room I booked was very large and could directly see Kofukuji Temple. It was also very quiet at night. Private bathing costs 3,300 yen per 40 minutes, and there are not many people in public baths. There is a convenience store downstairs of the hotel, a Starbucks in five minutes, and you can walk to Todaiji Temple in about fifteen minutes. Overall, it is highly recommended. It is a Japanese-style hotel with good value for money.

The room is large, comfortable and charming. There was a misunderstanding when booking. We were not given a room with a view of Kofukuji Temple's five-story pagoda, but we were compensated with the use of the terrace lounge. Thumbs up for the flexible and heartwarming service! The reservation-only private soup is very good, and the "Taying No Soup" is worthy of its name.

The room is perfect, the tatami is very comfortable to sleep on, it is a very traditional Japanese inn. At the same time, their private bath is also worth experiencing, equipped with a separate dressing room, spacious and clean. When checking in, you can make an appointment with the front desk.
