I had booked this property for July 13th after reading a Instagram post on The Better India. As a DIY and sustainable enthusiast, I was very excited to visit this place and meet the like-minded owner. I traveled from Shirdi to Nasik with high expectations. I booked the property for ₹13,000 per day for 6 people plus one kid, and Disha, the owner, promised to provide mattresses for 2 additional people as there are only two bedrooms at the property. When we arrived, we found there was no proper road connectivity and no network coverage. It was raining, and reaching the property was challenging. A caretaker received us, and we soon discovered there was no kitchen or any food services available. We had to rely on food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy, but every order was being canceled due to the bad weather and remote location. When I asked Disha for help or a restaurant recommendation, she said she couldn’t assist and there was no kitchen service available. The only thing she mentioned that we would need to wash our plates after eating(if we get any) and leave them in the same place. Due to the poor road connectivity and rain, walking to a restaurant was not an option. We asked the caretaker if he could help us get some food, but he refused. We asked if he has some scooter, we will get on our own, for that also he refused. This place is in the middle of nowhere, and we were left helpless. Eventually, we managed to get some food delivered, and wash the dishes in the rain as asked by her. The property had a severe mosquito problem, and even the rooms were infested. There are no mosquito nets available for two separate mattresses. And the provided mosquito nets in bedrooms also had large holes. Since my father and I, both of us asthma patients, couldn’t tolerate the mosquito coils which was the only option. When I contacted Disha again to express my concerns, she told us to vacate the property if we were unhappy and offered a partial refund of ₹7,000, keeping ₹6,000 for less than 3 hours of stay. She started shouting and talking rudely so cut her call. I called her mother Madhu(self-boasted Dr. Madhu and IIT Powai Professor)hoping for some understanding. So she turned out to even more ruder, shouting at me and telling me to vacate the property immediately. When I tried to ask her to talk politely being in hospitality industry, she said "Tu mujhe business karna seekhayegi" My family had traveled a long way, and we were humiliated and mistreated. They arrived at the property and continued to belittle us, suggesting we can find even cheaper hotels as if we couldn’t afford their or any expensive place. The entire experience was distressing and left me traumatized. These two women displayed a lack of hospitality, respect, and basic human decency and etiquettes. We eventually found a place in the city and left as soon as possible, but not without feeling deeply humiliated and disrespected. Don’t come here if you don't want to carry the burden of ge

We booked this accommodation on 26 September 2023. However, when we called to confirm on 13 November 2023, a day before our arrival, Madhu, the hostess seemed fuzzy about our booking. However, after checking her records she was able to locate the booking and gave a lame excuse as to why she was confused about the booking. On arrival we were welcomed warmly by Madhu. However, we found the place to be dingy and lacking proper ventilation. The windows could not be opened as the traffic noise below was disturbing. Camphor powder was liberally sprinkled on the bed linen and towels as a room freshener but did not seem to do little. Changing the bed linen also did not help. The smell in the toilet was rather overpowering. We found the accommodation well below our expectations and decided to not stay there and booked accommodation elsewhere. We had paid in advance for two days which did not get refunded to us. Others are advised to the careful before paying advance in booking this property. Substandard accommodation cannot be passed off in the name of ethnic and sustainable homestay.
