Initial pleasant first impressions on arrival were quickly dispelled upon closer inspection. Our room was very small, the decor quite dated and the TV small for contemporary standards. It clearly required refurbishment. In the bathroom (aka cupboard) one receptacle was provided for what appeared to be poor quality combined shower/shampoo gel, instead of the usual array of complementary guest consumables ordinarily available in like resorts. Critically, the bathroom sink was blocked and there was no water to have a shower etc ! When raising the water and blockage issues with reception, the young girl had no clue how to manage disappointed guests. A simple apology, explanation and steps they were taking to rectify would have sufficed. When asked where an alternate shower might be available for our use as an interim measure, she unhelpfully replied ‘ I don’t know’. I asked for the issue to be escalated to her manager. Despite promises, no one bothered to get back to us for our 3 night stay. But for the fact we were with a pre paid group booking, we would have moved. Others in our group encountered similar issues. Inexperienced reception staff clearly need training on guest management. With the range of quality accomodation choices on offer, avoid this resort at all cost.
