"The location of the hotel is really convenient, less than 5 minutes to the main shopping chora and 100m to a wonderful clean beach. The hotel itself was lovely with clean rooms, really friendly hard working receptionists (Mr George and Moss Popi) and amazing breakfast/cleaning ladies (Emmanuela and Irma) that went out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible.Nothing was too big for them and their kindness was truly heartwarming. We stayed there 2 weeks and we would gladly stay there again! Thank you so very much for everything you did for us, we would not forget you and we will see our again soon!! Andreas, Vickie, Angelos"

"Stayed here for 5 nights. Lovely room, compact, but a great location on the edge of town. 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes walk to town with a fantastic selection of restaurants. Lovely basic breakfast, can't fault it. We would definately stay again."

"Small hotel located a 10-minute walk from the center and the port. Ample free parking is available 30 meters away. The apartment is spacious, with a small, fully functional kitchen with an electric stove and refrigerator. The only drawback is the bathroom with a handheld showerhead. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Cleaning and towel changes are daily."

"I'm giving 5 stars because the photos on the website are exactly what we found during our stay. This is a discreet and simple hotel, with welcoming and friendly staff. The breakfast is good, with a fresh variety of savory and sweet products. We were in the Deluxe suite (room 5) with the jacuzzi, table and chairs and private deck with sun loungers overlooking the pool area. The room was spacious with marble floors and the bathroom was very clean. The hotel, pool, and outdoor areas are very clean, and our room was refreshed every day. We had some difficulties during our stay with the curtain and one of the sun loungers that broke. Their reactivity to both of these situations was perfect, fixing each element very quickly. The highlight of this hotel is the location because you are right in front of the beach. There are also great restaurants in easy walking distance from the hotel, as well as supermarkets. While it's true that there are some nicer (and more expensive!) hotels nearby, we were happy to stay in this small hotel right on the Plaka Beach."

From the balcony, I enjoyed a serene partial view of both the sea and the city, all without noise or interruptions. It felt warm, personal, and genuinely welcoming — the kind of gesture that instantly elevates the experience. The location is unbeatable. You’re literally a two‑minute stroll from the port road, placing you steps from Naxos Town’s best seaside restaurants and the heart of the island’s most walkable, vibrant area. Inside, the suite is modern, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, and cookware — ideal for longer stays or simple meals in. And the staff? Outstanding doesn’t even begin to cover it. Warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay exceptional. I left feeling completely validated in my “excellent pick.” This is a five‑star experience in every sense, and I’d return in a heartbeat."

"No seriously, it was the highlight of the trip. Everything that everybody has raved about is true -- the breakfast, the views, the food, everything. The staff is what makes this place an incredible gem. They were unbelievably helpful, kind, thoughtful. They called drivers and arranged pickups and brought us to the port and...everything. There are plenty of places in Naxos with pretty views but the service as the Hotel Grotta cannot be beat. Just go book a stay there. Right now!"
