Golden Sand

We had a good stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly, with a special mention for the people at breakfast and the restaurant. The room is functional, the bedding excellent, at least in the sea view junior suite. The hotel is very well located, the beach is magnificent and there are several very nice restaurants within walking distance all along the beach. Only one flaw: from time to time, water rises on the bathroom floor

Courteous and helpful reception staff. Little help in providing more alternatives for taking the rapid test for returning to Italy. They suggest only one facility that works until 2pm on Fridays and we therefore made do on our own to find another testing centre. Nice, spacious room, with a bathroom suitable for the accommodation, all always clean to perfection. The cleaning lady is a war machine...just enough time to go down for breakfast and the room was already tidied up and clean. Very small swimming pool and mostly accessible to children... but from the photos everything seemed much larger and more spacious. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was quite disappointing. To drink coffee, cold milk or hot tea and some fruit juice, cereals, a few slices of turkey and cheese, pre-cooked bread (with the good bread that the local bakeries bake... or not), a series of small pieces of savory pies and a few small bowls of yogurt or fruit and already prepared previously. There is a charge for any coffee drinks. No blame can be attributed to the golden sand but... Next to the structure they are carrying out construction work on a new residence so the noises of jackhammer, drill, grinder and so on and so forth, will accompany you throughout the day until 10pm So if you're looking for peace and relaxation... move on

Small structure, less than 15 rooms, with bar/restaurant and small swimming pool. Cross the road and you are on the beach (paid sunbeds). Super friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance are two small supermarkets and a few restaurants (we recommend Petrino). Quiet but not isolated location, outside the chaos of the island.

This structure represents the worst of the worst that a tourist can find in Naxos. At most it can be defined as a hostel. The photos published on booking and other portals are simply misleading. The rooms are tiny, maximum 15 m2. without a piece of furniture, there isn't a hook in the bathroom or in the bedroom. The room sold as a sea view is not true because it is covered by two trees. I attach photos The rooms are spartan without any comfort. The air conditioning is faulty and turns off as soon as you open the bathroom or bedroom window. The reception is a tiny room at the entrance managed by a girl, most likely a minor, who closes at 5pm. There is no concierge service also because there is no telephone in the room and no manager present throughout the entire stay. Terrible breakfast, espresso coffee 3 euros for a fee. Even having paid for breakfast after the first day we went to have it for a fee in the structure next door which is definitely another world. Poorly maintained beach with old and neglected sunbeds and towels and umbrellas. A pile of disused beach material covered by a plastic sheet just behind the four rows of sunbeds. I attach photos. For the price paid, there are better facilities nearby and at much cheaper prices. Absolutely avoid.... Shameful

I stayed here a week and had a great time! Strategic location in front of Plaka beach with the possibility of using the equipped beach for only 20 euros. Clean, quiet and basic rooms. A special thank you to HELENA who welcomed us with a smile every morning for breakfast and to Caterina and the reception for their availability. I recommend it to everybody
