Dated Hotel in a lovely town.
Located in a nice town with a good ambience. The hotel reception and dining room were welcoming, but the room was very dated and disappointing. The bathroom was from the 1970's with a plastic caravan shower and poor decoration. The bedroom was very small with barely walk room around the bed. The rooms were very "creaky" with lots of noise from neighbouring rooms up to falling asleep.

The restaurant in this hotel is excellent. We've been having Sunday lunch here every time we stay in Neufchatel for years and it's just gets better and better .....if that is possible. I have read the reviews some of which are less complimentary ......well that's never been our experience . The food is fantastic the staff are great with a real sense of humour....or was it my school french?! Monsieur who runs the show is immeasurably courteous. It's a real joy going to the restaurant. A tip book your meal to avoid disappointment it appears very popular

De passage à Neufchâtel en Bray pour un mariage nous avons réservé à cet hôtel par nécessité, les photos ainsi que l'appartenance à logis hôtel nous semblaient un gage de sécurité. Quelle déconvenue à l'arrivée une chambre minuscule d'une autre époque, sans parler de la salle de bain où nous faisons un bon dans le temps au temps de ma grand mère, allant régulièrement dans des hôtels je n'avais plus vu de chambre de cette sorte depuis au moins 30 ans!!! Une porte de l'armoire degondee, un matelas qui grince, dans la salle de bain le coffrage de baignoire pourri, tout minuscule et mal agencé, le tout triste triste, l'église juste à côté sonne tous les quarts d'heure dès 7h.Il faut quand même noter que tout était très propre.Le petit déjeuner lui est très correct pour 10€ , il y a même de petits rocamadour ainsi que de petits Neufchâtel, le personnel très bien aussi. Cet hôtel ne mérite pas pour moi 2 étoiles, c'est la première fois que j'allais dans un hôtel Logis hôtel mais la dernière je pense, 78€ pour une telle chambre c'est pour moi exagéré.

O NOT STAY HERE Avenue Verte Cyclist's. The place to store your bike is terrible. A Rickety old wooden shed with no lock on the door and in an unsecure garden at the front of the hotel. Apparently someone broke the lock, presumably to steal bicycles?! Inside the shed is a flimsy bike rack NOT fixed to the floor and there are no available locks. Whilst the food in the restaurant was good. I was given the worst table despite booking weeks in advance. . When I asked to move I was told it was not possible. One of the two tables I asked to move to was not ever occupied! My room had no shower. The bath was so small I could not sit in it with straight legs and the bath did not drain at all. The “air-con” is just a portable fan and useless.. The unfriendly staff appeared to treat the non resident with more respect. Presumably because the bedrooms and bathrooms are so run down, they think you must be as well to stay here! Stay somewhere else and book a table here for dinner

We always head here for our last day in France and enjoy the delights of the Normandy town and lovely hotel. The dinner was superb as always and a lovely way to finish up our two week holiday. There is lots of parking in the centre or behind the hotel and we have never had any problems. Would certainly recommend.
