Maria Infante and Sharda Graham clearly care and have a wonderful welcome for when you arrive. They took great care of us! When we got to the hotel the room we had was not what we were expecting and these two went out of their way to understand and listen. Something that doesn’t happen very often anymore.

Jennie at the front desk went above and beyond to help us with an issue in our room! The manager Gwyan saw us in the elevator and took time to welcome us from San Francisco. We had the opportunity to tell him how great his staff treated us. We stayed at The Algonquin on our honeymoon in 2010 and have returned twice. We highly recommend The Algonquin when you visit New York!!! Thanks to the entire staff!

I loved the Algonquin! It’s such a cute little hotel and has the best Gilded/Jazz Age charm. If you’re a history buff like me, you’ll love it too. Ms. Jennie at the front desk was amazing and so sweet and I loved hanging out with the hotel cat Hamlet VIII. It was my first time in New York and the hotel was easily the best part of my trip. Definitely a MUST if you’re going to NYC.

We looked forward to experiencing the bar at this hotel but we didn’t get far into the lobby when the branding smell was so overwhelming we had to leave. Such a shame as we were totally looking forward to the experience and the drinks. I guess the brand of this hotel is not welcoming.

I was looking forward to a little history by staying at the Algonquin. What I got instead was just plain old. The rooms were painfully small, the furnature early depression, and the bathroom (although upgraded) was the size of a postage stamp.

Hotel room was large and comfortable, but apparently lacked rooms with grab bars near toilet. The large room size was great, especially for New York. Hotel conveniently located near theaters and taxis. Food was okay but not great and rather overpriced. Staff was kind and friendly and very efficient and helpful, especially in the restaurant. I would recommend for friends
