Morris Guest House

The worst people to deal with! My work trip got cancelled and I have asked for a partial refund and straight away they said no!!! Criminals!!! They are keeping the entire money without even trying to negotiate Don't deal with these guys, now I am burnt with 400 euros!!!

Great customer service and treatment, very safe place to be and walk. One of my favorite experiences at Bronx!!!

My flight was canceled due to weather. I decided I couldn’t stay on the floor of the airport. I booked the first hotel I found. I travelled 3 hours by subway to the hotel. There was no hotel. There is no real address. It is in a neighborhood on Morris Ave in the Bronx. There are all tenement style houses. I think I found it. It had a lock box by the door. I called for the code. Left a message. No reply. The street is piled with garbage and there are rats running around the garbage. The neighbor is very seedy. I was accosted by beggars and crack people. I decided it would be safer to leave than sleep on the doorsteps. I call Morris Guest House after 9am that morning. The manager said he tried to call me several times however, he had the wrong number. I didn’t give my phone number to Super.com, so any phone number he would have had would be from caller ID on the phone message which was my phone. My phone showed no incoming calls from Morris Guest House. He refused to refund my stay and stuck to the phone story. Super.com was no help either. They said they can only refund if the Morris Guest House approves it. I can’t tell you about inside of the Morris Guest house. I never got to see it. You may notice there are no photos of the outside of the house on their website. I would look at the reviews to see the what the outside looks like. What hotel does not give their address? My advice. Do not book or go to Morris Guest house!

Terrible service

Very Very disappointed with that place 😕 😞

I just want to let people know that this place is a scam. There is no hotel or room for you to stay. *****do not book this room***** when I called the guy told me that I had to meet him outside. There was no address and all the buildings foreclosures. I was born in the Bronx and moved away so I wanted to stay close to my family and I thought this woulda been a great place. But the place just didn’t exist and there was a bunch of ppl just smoking and drinking outside that just didn’t look safe. Lesson learned. Couldn’t get my money back which ****** but I am safe and sound. But don’t book this place.

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. After being asked to provide our estimated arrival time, we arrived to find the room not yet ready (check in was at/after 3:00 PM and we arrived around 3:30/3:45 PM). We were told that the room had not yet been cleaned per standard required covid standards and it was not « ready » until after 5 PM. The keypad lock on the door to our room worked sporadically, and inside the room, there was no bedspread/quilt, no decorations on the walls and a window missing the screen. The bathrooms were very tiny and lacked hand towels. After checking in the front desk manager said we could call/come down with any questions/concerns until 11 PM. At 10:30 PM, there was no one in the office and several phone calls went unanswered. Unfortunately disappointed in this property and our stay there.
