Good clean hotel. Good location, centre of city to get to various locations with ease

Not the hotels fault, but the street is half blocked off and it a total pain in the but when waiting for an uber, wish they provided an alternate drop off spot. The room had a bit of a funky smell but was otherwise spotless, the minimal staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful

The bed is comfy and the room spacious. The bathrooms are clean. The lack of vending machines (which could go in the basement for us plebeians to use) is annoying, however. The reason I will stay here if I go to New York again is Joseph, who is a gem of a human being. It’s his smile that greets you at the door, and he will happily take your bags to your room and bring you ice to your heart’s content. I have no complaints about the rest of the staff, who were nice and never once looked askance at my Walmart couture. The location is ideal, and just a few blocks away from the Empire State Building. Book on their webpage rather than through another site, for their website often has promotions. It was why I was able to get a suite (with two bathrooms) for less than two rooms at the Homewood Suites, the Fairfield, or pretty much anywhere else.

We stayed at the james with our family. The location is brilliant, ten mins to times square and right in mid town with access to everything. The room was pretty big so no issues there. The rooms however, are tired, the bathroom was small, the air con was blasting out with one setting which was annoying as I had to cover it every night. The resort fee is unacceptable though and don't know why we pay for this. A few people have claimed that it's because of the wine, coffee etc. The hotel claims they had tea and coffee and 'pastries and fresh fruit' every morning. The coffee was horrible, there was no tea apart from green tea. They had apples only and I never saw anything else. The evenings, they claim wine, and treats, there was a bottle of red and white, hardly replenished and no such treats, I was there every evening and never got any. The receptionist staff were pretty unenthused and lacking any welcoming. The restaurant and bar needs to be booked way in advance which was really upsetting as you can't even get a drink any where else in the hotel. All in all, paid alot of money, the location was great but the rest not so.

James NY Nomad is the perfect location between midtown + update and downtown destinations. The rooms are spacious with all the necessary amenities at reasonable rates for NYC. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful too. Highly recomment

The James nomad is hands-down the best hotel I’ve stayed in New York. The location is great. The rooms are amazing and the staff and Service are top notch. It’s my go to hotel every time I’m in town! A must stay. The hotel even offers an amazing restaurant and lounge!

The James Nomad also boasts fantastic amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a trendy rooftop bar with breathtaking views of the city. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the bustling streets of New York. Overall, my experience at The James Nomad exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Aziza, Kent, and the entire front desk team. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in NYC.
