If you want the 'Do Not Disturb' sign to stay on your door, remember to pick it up every time it falls off the doorknob [smirking emoji]. Also, Housekeeping carts will be 'standing by' in the hallway outside your room 24/7. Every time you shower, water will leak from the shower stall into the room's hallway. And then, Occasionally, you might get a 'surprise' of cockroaches 'adding to' your breakfast [golden potato emoji]. The hotel will calmly tell you to find the restaurant manager because their breakfast service is outsourced. If you can serenely accept all of this, congratulations, this hotel is for you: Hilton Garden Inn New York/Central Park South-Midtown West.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the subway station, and within walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, MoMA, and Broadway. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The rooms are clean and tidied daily. Each room comes with a microwave and coffee maker, but no kettle. Bottled water is available for a fee. Breakfast vouchers need to be collected from the front desk every day. Waiting for elevators can take a while during peak hours, especially when heading out. Be aware that the air conditioning, water heater, and refrigerator in the room can be quite noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to consider other options.

I booked this hotel for my child's school term, but when we arrived at 12 AM, they told us there were no rooms available, even though I booked almost a month in advance. They sent my child to another hotel in the middle of the night. The platform's customer service was also very slow and unhelpful; each time, I'd explain for ages with no resolution. Eventually, it was sorted out, but the whole experience was truly outrageous.

The air conditioning was incredibly loud, and the breakfast was mediocre. I stayed for two nights and my room wasn't cleaned once.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, close to Central Park and just a few minutes from Times Square, making it incredibly convenient for evening outings. There are also plenty of small supermarkets nearby, which is great for shopping.

The environment was okay, but the hygiene and service were poor. After checking out, I found that I was charged for two bottles of mineral water plus tax, without the guest's confirmation.
