Staypineapple, An Artful Hotel, Midtown New York

Close to station. 20 minutes walk to Times Square. Clean hotel.

Trendy hotel. The service was excellent. In a good location just south of the Times Square crowd. I stayed here for just a night on my first trip to NYC. I am glad I did. The amenities, like unlimited bottled water, are a plus. The bed was super comfortable. The room was clean and updated. Only negative was that the USB ports did not work, but luckily I brought my wall charger with me and that worked. I also wish the bed-side speaker were Bluetooth-compatible, but, of course, this is a minor dig and irrelevant to most. My view was meh, but luckily I was not able to hear any street noise from my tiny queen-bed room on the 22nd floor. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely love this hotel!! Rooms are so adorable and very New York like. I love it. The hotel is very clean and staff members are very friendly and helpful. The beds are really comfortable. The location of the hotel is great. Around the corner of Madison Square Garden, very close by the subway and you can easily walk your way to Times Square. I absolutely recommend this hotel!

Small room with a very nice bed, also quite a nice view. Totally ok for one night. I liked the concept of Self Check-in/out via text. Save a lot of time. Downside was unfriendly staff. I told them the coffee machine didn‘t work. Reply: ‚it does.‘

The bed and linens were comfortable. Their hype for being artful is way overrated. The few artful touches are nice but they don't make up for the many things this hotel lacks. The lobby is teeny, tiny and not at all inviting as a place to hang out. The coffee they provide as part of their resort fee is a keurig with mediocre coffe. They also provide a reusable water bottle as part of the resort fee along with the internet. All things one would expect at a hotel of this price category..so no big deal. The rooms are so small there is not even a chair to sit on. The desk pulls out from the night stand and there is a small hassock to sit on, so no, this would not be a good place to work. They provide a speaker device to answer questions and when it can't answer questions it says it will have someone call you. Except..no one did when I had a question. An hour later I had a different question and after twenty minutes someone finally called me back. It is ridiculous that there is no one to call directly from the room to get help. These touches may be "cool" but they are not helpful to the guest. This is an overpriced, underwhelming hotel.
