We went to our daughter’s St Johns Graduation. Booked double room but got a single bed in a SMALL room. Room was clean. Front desk VACANT. Took forever for someone to come check us in. Parking was HORRIBLE. Neighborhood QUESTIONABLE. Looked like we were surrounded by Chop Shops. Abandoned/damaged vehicles surrounded the building and area. No restaurants. Breakfast was not worth the time.

This days inn was the worst I've ever seen ... they give them all a bad name. The inside was dirty . The ours was dirty. Everything was broke and looked as if some crack head tried to fix it . This place ruined my vacation.

We walked from the station to the hotel which was very shocking.....it's in the middle of a car breakers yard! The area felt unsafe do we did not leave our room but ordered food in. It was very noisy with a woman hollering in an adjacent street. I wouldn't recommend this place. However the sheets were clean and the airport shuttle bus arrived on time. The rooms are neat and tidy. Clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The in-room fridge is noisy. The air-con is too noisy to sleep with it on. Our room was just off the lobby so we could hear everything the loud receptionist was chatting to her friend about on her phone. She did turn off the video she was watching at full volume at 4am, once I went out to speak to her. Our request to have rooms close together was denied. Breakfast was later than advertised, so we couldn't have it due to flight times. Worst night's sleep in a long time.

if you are vacationing in NYC and want a scenic view, this won't be your place. It's in a very industrial neighborhood. But, if you want one of the most affordable rooms you'll find in NYC close to JFK, this one is fine. They have a decent food delivery option (which avoids Seamless-style fees), a basic continental breakfast, and the rooms were clean and have what you need. I was pleased with my stay.

I have stayed for one night after arriving from Europe and i left with traumas. Just from the entrance the hotel is sketchy, the room it was filthy, on top of the shower curtain it was a small very dirty towel, the bath tub has not been cleaned since the hotel was built i am sure. I could not breathe of how strong the cigarette smoke smell was and they advertise as being smoke free hotel. I advised the receptionist about all of this and the answer i received was that was the last room available. I checked out the next day and i find the charge me extra for “miscellanous” that no one can explain what is it for. I am so disgusted with that place that i hope it will get closed down soon.

I'll start this review with the good: the bed was comfy and we did not see or feel bugs. Now the neutral: This hotel was advertised as being close to the airport (JFK). It was a 25 minute Uber ride away. Maybe that is close in New York City but it didn't feel close to us. Now the bad - everything else!!!! The hotel had junked out cars outside (see photo) and what appeared to be ******* nearby. It felt like a bombed out war zone in a poor country. The hotel had a filthy reception area and hallways and reeked of ********* strong enough to burn the throat (so much for their supposed no smoking policy). The person at the front desk insisted I had booked only a single queen bed for four travelers and made us purchase a second room so the place was the price I would expect to pay for a luxury hotel, which this was most certainly not. There were screaming babies next door all night long. Our view was of a junk yard. And when we went down for the supposedly included breakfast, there was absolutely none. I have been to a lot of hotels in a lot of different countries and this one will be memorable as the worst so far.

I booked this hotel on Hotwire for March7/8, I found out it was a shelter and tried to cancel the booking from Hotwire who said they needed to confirm from the hotel. Apparently the Hotel denied been a shelter and took the money from my credit card. Hotwire connected me on a call with the hotel’s agent who was very rude and nasty. They took my money without providing their facilities.
