The hotel is right next to New York University, which is convenient for visiting friends there, but the hotel room is not big and the bed is not big.

The location of the hotel is close to New York University. I wanted to experience a hotel with history, but the experience is very bad. The whole hotel is like a guest house with poor sound insulation and small rooms. In a word, it is old and small.

Beautifully appointed -feels like you could be in Europe especially in the lobby and dining area. Keep in mind the rooms are a bit small and the whole hotel is like a tight ship. Staff is so professional and kind-must be coming from the top:)

Needed to check in late and was given a filthy room! Then got reassigned a room a smaller room, not the same I pay for! They promise a refund but management fail to communicate it to *******

PERFECT! This hotel is so quintessential downtown New York, with a ton of class and character. Let’s you feel like a New Yorker living in a walk-up apartment, even tho they have elevators. Small rooms of course, which only adds to the “I’m living in NYC l!” Vibe. Great bar and restaurant and lobby, incredible breakfast INCLUDED (awesome frittata!). Best part: complimentary NY Times laid out to take in the morning. Now that’s class.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location in Greenwich Village, close to Washington Square Park, many restaurants, and transit. The building has a cozy lobby area with fireplace and lots of seating. While the rooms are very small, the building has lots of character. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast- with includes a choice from hot items (oatmeal or frittata) or yogurt & granola & fresh fruit or pastries plus cofffee/ tea/ juice. All served in the restaurant. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Overall excellent 3 night stay! Such a pretty place, & so storied with NY cultural history. Our petite queen met all our needs: comfy & stylish. The bar was also a lot of fun & breakfast options good for all inclusive. Hope to return next time we visit NY!

Here for business and this is where I stay always. The rooms are quiet and clean and very well done. Yes, they are small but for one person, it works. The lounge areas are plenty which is important in NYC. The food is always good and the breakfast is included in the room price and is hearty. There is free coffee in the lobby for hotel guests starting at 7;00 am, which is nice because they didn't offer that in years past. It would be nice if the morning staff at the front desk would keep down their loud chatter about their personal lives. Nobody really wants to wake up to that. Overall, the hotel is efficient and staff is very nice and helpful.
