Stayed on 44th floor on a package to pitch me to upgrade my current ownership level. Was very disappointed. I was not told before hand to go directly to the 44th floor. After 35 minutes in the Diamond line, I was told my Diamond expired and I would have to do to the next line. After 25 minutes in the regular line,, I was very rudely and unapologetically told by Robert to check in on the 44th Floor. Once on the 44th floor, the room was not ready so i have to go back down to have them hold my luggage. When room was ready, when back up to the 44th floor to get walked to my room (key card were not working that day or the next day), only to be told I would have to go down and get my luggage myself. Once we got back up to 44th floor, two other couples were checking in so we have to wait 30 minutes for the gal to let us in out room). Once finally in the room to settle in, the A/C did not work and the room was so warm I was sweating - the windows would were stuck and would not open. When I called to report this, I wanted to know when they would come to the room. The woman at guest services told be she could offer no ETA. I explained I did not want to unpack and then re-pack to move to another room if the A/C could not be fixed. We also needed to get ready for dinner reservations in the city. She said "I can't tell you when they will be there, but you are on the maintenance list." She then proceeded to hang up. Mattress was horrible. Room was dirty with hand prints all over the coffee machine, top of counter, tv, and mirrors. Lighting in bathroom was too dim, could not put on makeup in there. The room keys did not work so every time we left, we had to be escorted back to our room. I expect more as a HVC owner, especially when you are trying to upsell me. No accommodations were offered, no extra HH points, no apologies, nothing.
