Our first visit to this hotel and we were pleased. It's bit of a walk from Penn station (about 20 minutes) but the weather being OK and a roller suitcase, it worked out fine. On the way back to the airport we chose Uber. That said, the hotel is in Chelsea, next to the chelsea market. We were happy with the amenities with special mention of breakfast coffee, thanks for serving great coffee, the other items for breakfast were a plus one. Room was small but comfortable, bathroom was spacious and well appointed. All in all great place to stay.

It's a very charming hotel, the bed was cozy and the staff very friendly. Just don't waste your $ paying extra for breakfast. It's very limited and you can find better options and quality in any near by restaurant.

Wonderful little hotel in Chelsea. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location. Outstanding prices for NYC . Hotel lobby is very comfortable for guests to hang out in and have private conversations.

Everything about this hotel felt and smelled old. Although the location is great, there is nothing special about this hotel that justifies the price. I would not stay here again.

This is a comfortable, attractive, well priced hotel. The staff are welcoming. The rooms are small and comfortable with an ocean liner theme. Portholes abound. There is just one shocking problem which I have encountered on several stays. The gym is located in the basement G level. It is adjacent to the hotel trash area. And, I regret to say, it really reeks. The stench is stomach-turning and putrid. When I gently complained to the front desk, they acknowledged it’s a chronic problem and said they would send someone to “spray.” For such a nice hotel, it’s unacceptable. Above decks, the Maritime is pleasant, well priced and well located. If you plan to go below decks to the small hotel gym, however. plug your nose, hold your breath and brace for a very unpleasant experience.
