Great choice in Lower Manhattan. Excellent service, nice bar/ restaurant. Enjoyed using the fitness center as well. Close to Ground Zero and Wall Street.

The Beekman was well located for our activities in the city and has great access to subway lines for all other areas. The room was large and very comfortable. It had everything we needed; it was quiet and well appointed.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff, the food, the room, the location was just wonderful! The hotel is just beautiful. They gave us a wonderful recommendation of the Tin building and a waterfront restaurant. We will be back next time we are in the city !

The Beekman Hotel is a classic, elegant with old charm. Very clean and very comfortable beds. The waiting staff are very knowledgeable, polite and happy to help you. The food is well prepared and delicious. the bar was outstanding, great drinks and food. The architecture was to admire, you don't very often see anymore. We walked to the World Trade Center, The Oculus, ground Zero Memorial Pools, Brookfield place, Battery Park Esplanade, The Brooklyn Bridge, etc. Very close to a lot of very well-known sites in NYC

The history and well maintained condition of the property was a delight to be around. Edgar Allen Poe would be proud to see his home base today. The staff was exceptional but the concierge went well beyond that. There wasn’t anything George couldn’t set up for us. He made our trip a breeze.

Very challenging to fall asleep between noise level at bar and the street level volume. Add in cold water and tv, it was a tough stay. Bar was great and bartenders make great cocktails.

Do NOT book beekman. Shady practices unfair practices. I was part of a bridal party a few months ago. It was fine, lighting was too dark for it to be a proper getting ready space. However, the truly egregious act was when the Beekman falsely accused this group for ripping a sofa. And then in turn, charged the couple >$3k for a rip on a couch this wedding party and reservation had NO part of. It was an obvious rip that did not exist when the bridal party left, when the couple checked out and when room service came to clean the room. Even worse, the hotel management has gone dark after charging the card without notice. Beekman hotel shame on you. Please make this right!

My wife and I stayed at the Beekman Hotel last month during our wedding weekend. What was a joyful and momentous occasion for us quickly became days and weeks of frustration and distress following our check-out from the hotel. When my wife and I exited the Beekman’s Thompson Suite to check out, we noticed nothing unordinary about the room, including during our clean up and inspection of all areas that morning. Over 24 hours later, on the evening of the following day, we received a call from the Beekman’s front office manager. He claimed there was major damage to one of the couches in the living room of the suite, which, according to him, had to have been caused by our stay. He said there may be “fees” associated with the damage and that they were completing an “investigation” of the incident. We were initially very confused given the accusation, and became even more dumbfounded when he sent the picture and explanation. The damage alleged against us was an odd, square cutout of the couch fabric that simply makes no sense to attribute to us. Because my wife’s Bridesmaids briefly used the room to get ready for the wedding on that Saturday, the Beekman claimed an outlandish tale that “maybe one of the bridesmaids got their heel stuck in the couch and ripped a piece out.” There are a few problems with this storyline: 1) We realized right there we were not working with serious business people. A bridesmaid gets stuck in a couch, no one notices, and then she doesn’t tell anyone or lies about it? That is just a comical situation to imagine. 2) More importantly, The Beekman staff cleaned the room after the bridesmaids left for the wedding that morning. No damage was reported as part of that room service. 3) This couch was already run-down and much more plausibly could have been damaged by routine servicing (we were told they need to re-upholster it quarterly). One of the people in the room even ran into a nail sticking out from the back of it! Unfortunately, when I looked at my credit card charges a few days after being notified “there may be fees,” I realized the Beekman HAD ALREADY AUTHORIZED A CHARGE OF $3,269 prior to even alerting us of any situation. To reiterate, they charged my card a random, exorbitant amount before even considering someone on their staff caused the damage. When they provided us the picture of the damage, we noticed right away that there were bed sheets on the couch. That confirms cleaning staff was in the room after we left, and could have easily been the source of what seemed to be a vacuum-shaped rip. Unfortunately, after the Beekman management team posted the egregious and baseless charge to my card, they went dark, refusing to return my calls, and even pretending to be unavailable despite my pleading with their front desk. Finally, on one occasion, a member of the front desk actually felt so bad about my situation he forced management to pick up the phone despite telling me 2 minutes earlier that they had
