They double checked us into our room. After settling into our room on the 19th floor (with city views), when we arrived in the evening, there were suitcases and personal belongings of other people in our room, who had also used the beds and the bathroom. They put our belongings at risk by bringing strangers into our room (passport, money and valuables). We went down to reception to report the problem and they moved our room instead of the group they had put in by mistake and they gave us a much worse room (with worse views and a musty smell). They told us that they would offer us a discount for the inconvenience and after confirming this several times with different hotel staff, to whom we had to explain our situation several times (since the problems there were were not communicated between them), they gave us the price initial from the hotel without any type of discount and they did not make any facility to resolve this problem.

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel for 1400€, 3 people during the Christmas period. The big strong point of the hotel is obviously its location, surrounded by metro entrances, Times Square on foot, Flatiron on foot. You can easily reach NYC's major attractions by subway. Everything else does not deserve comment except an American welcome - very impersonal and unfriendly - a bland lobby, tiny rooms and a lot of views (very close). The hotel seems poorly insulated thermally... you will find the comfort worthy of an American 3 star...
