Hotel Giraffe by Library Hotel Collection

This is a very well run hotel. The rooms are very large for N.Y. there is a very nice continental breakfast each morning and water and snacks available all day. The beds were quite nice. For being in the city the noise wasn’t bad and the location is good if your planning in seeing both up town and the business district. All in all a very good stay

The service at this hotel is excellent - across the board.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Giraffe six months ago so we decided to stay there again this week, even though the price of the room had almost doubled. This experience was much less pleasant. For the price they charged us and the experience we had this time, there are better options in NYC.

Love the convenience, warm atmosphere, inviting lobby, clean appointed rooms and snack and breakfast amenities on the first floor.

We love the Hotel Giraffe! This was our third stay. The location is perfect! Near the 6 train, the Morgan Library, and the M4. A favorite restaurant, Koloman is just a few blocks away. The hotel room was spacious, and a balcony room is a treat! The gracious hospitality includes coffee & pastries in the lobby every morning and fruit available 24 hours.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 18 days in January. The hotel thoughtfully asked if we needed transfers to and from the airport and without us asking allocated us to rooms next door to each other. I found the room I had was perfectly sized and comfortable for my long stay. My friend had a room with a living room which was useful when we stayed in one night. Overall I had a fantastic stay and would stay again and recommend friends and family to stay here as well. Things you should be aware of. Kettles are not available in your room so if you want a kettle for a cup of tea after a long hard day of shopping and lunching, you can ask for one from reception and the lovely ladies in housekeeping will bring one to you. What I thought was a mini fridge didn’t work and when I asked reception about it, they said it was for storage but they could bring a mini fridge up to me. I didn’t bother and stored things in my friend’s mini fridge which worked. Also if you are staying for a long time, the hotel charges your card (ie not a hold but actual charge) after you reach a certain limit which surprised us as we were not told about this at check in and only realised while we were out. This is not an issue but some notice would have been good.

Have always loved The Giraffe. We've been staying there for close to 10 years. However, without the evening cocktails in the lobby, the extra expense of The Giraffe is becoming harder to justify.
