We absolutely loved staying at this property! We stayed in the penthouse and it was so roomy for the 4 of us girls. Close to many attractions and loved the jazz bar and don’t tell ya mama piano bar across the street!

beautiful, spacious rooms. i wish my apartment had looked like this! great location if catching a show without being overwhelmed by the area. perfect if you drive or take the train in. close enough to port authority and major subway stops and easily walkable from penn station. all in all a great experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Scherman! The rooms were clean and comfortable, it's a convenient location if you're seeing a show, and the continental breakfast was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

We truly enjoyed our recent return visit to NYC, staying for 5 nights at Hotel Scherman. If you are looking for a big, steel and glass hotel, this is not it. It is very much a European style boutique hotel. Located right in Hells Kitchen area, it is surrounded by jazz clubs and restaurants. Even though it is just 2 blocks from the theatres and Times Square, the hotel rooms are extremely quiet, very unusual for NYC! There is no lobby, but the rooms are large and yet cozy, and the bathroom and walk in shower have lots of room to move around in. A very large continental breakfast is provided each morning on the charming mezzanine with lots of choices of breads, fruits, cereals and hard boiled eggs. We had some unexpected issues with the plumbing and the manager quickly moved us to a new room and provided a nights refund. We would definitely choose this lovely hotel again for its comfort and great location for attending the theatre and great restaurants!
