Room was grotty and not maintained. On the first morning we had a shower (very quickly as the water pressure was rubbish) and then the guy on reception come up and asked to come in the room. He said there was a leak through the ceiling below us and we are now liable for all damages. I told him that won’t be happening as all we had done was take a quick shower. He proceeded to barge in and check the bathroom, which of course there was nothing to be found. So then he suggested… and wait for it… this one is brilliant. I used the shower curtain incorrectly. I, very confused by this bizarre statement, asked how it should be used and explained how shower curtains work. By tucking them in the tub to ensure water runs down the curtain and goes down the drain. He THEN told me… “they work differently over here in the USA”. Yeah. We left. Had to get a refund through Agoda, who also enjoyed this tale. Do yourself a favour, don’t even consider it.

Worst Hotel in New York, they are cheats they advertise on sites like Agoda room size 323 sqft, while the actual room is not even 120 sq ft, I didn't have walking space after placing my suitcases. On top they have no visitors policy, which they don't advertise. My room was non refundable, I checked in and checked out in ten minutes after seeing the room and hearing their policy, which they don't mention anywhere. But they didn't give me refund also. Cheats

I give this place one star for the nice person that was at the lovey. Otherwise, nothing else is nice. Rooms are small, with no fridge. No cups. Bathroom and walls have stains. No smart tv, WiFi is slow. I could keep on going on and on. If you want a room to crash in and wake up, this is the place... But even that, I wouldn't do it again. The bed was uncomfortable, I had back pain just sleeping in it.

This hotel met our needs for a weekend getaway in the big city; we had no complaints. Of course what you get in NYC for what you pay is shocking. But our small room, just bigger than the bed, was clean and comfortable. Everything worked, and the shower was hot and strong. The flat-screen TV had a ton of channels; you just had to aim the remote at the DirecTV receiver behind the screen. There was a microwave, fridge, and safe, more than we expected. There is a lot of noise from the corridor; we slept with the fan on to dampen that and tried to be respectful of other rooms when we were in the corridor. The fellow at the front desk could not have been nicer. Luggage check is $10/bag: no problems.

The website is very misleading. I booked a two night stay for business. I left after one. It's more of a dorm feel. 4 rooms to a floor. Tiny, but that's common in the area. The room was atrocious. Head hair on the counter and sink. Other Hai on the tub. Mold on the tiles. I took 19 photos and shared them with the desk staff when I asked for a refund. I used a third party booking so a refund couldn't be done by the hotel staff. I was polite, they were apologetic and as helpful as their policies would allow. The water was nice and hot and the ac was awesome.

Stayed here last month for a friends wedding. I was traveling alone so I am always down to have conversations with people and making friends so of course having that I am korean, i would sometimes speak to the "manager" that would greet me sometimes. He was Korean, specifically named chris i believe. Long story short, he invited me to drink with him.. and even offered to stay with him in one of the rooms in the hotel. He assured we were only going to drink in the room and hang out. Of course, i denied.. but this threw me off and I immediately wanted to exchange hotels. I only had one day left, but still, i travel alot and this was straight up creepy. The stay was overall okay, the location is top notch but the heat wasnt working half of the time.

I don't know where to start. I have a whole story but I guess I'll just get to the point right away. I never want to come back to this hotel ever again. The hotel manager Vlad and another asian guy was the only nice thing out of this whole hotel experience. The hotel's owner was just very immature and terrible terrible. The manager told me to call the hotel owner because he has something to say to me and when I did, he told me that he got fraud. Okay so apparently, I booked this hotel from this place called 'New York Namoo' from Korea, and I payed half ($1440) to 'New York Namoo' in Korea and half to 'Casamia 36hotel' owner in person, which I had no idea before all of this happened. I just did what they told me to do, and he (the owner) called me and asked me, a hotel guest, to get his money back for him. He said 'New York Namoo' lady wasn't answering his calls and texts, and he said that she took all of his money. He told me that I should threaten her to give all of the money back for him. I was just.. shocked. And the funny thing is he wasn't even 'asking' me to do so. He was very rude and inappropriate, I'd say almost blackmailing me to do so. He said that if I don't get the money back from the New York Namoo lady, then I'll have to pay him half the hotel fee once more, or he'll have to kick me out of the hotel. I told him I didn't even have a clue 'NewYork Namoo' and 'Casamia36' is a different, co-working group, and I told him I am a hotel guest and whether or not he got fraud or not, I have absolutely no reason to get kicked out of the hotel. So I sent a message to the NewYork Namooo lady in thhe morning and asked but she answered just fine. She said that she usually doesn't reply on the weekends. So yes, it turned out he was just super paranoid that she wasn't in contact with him. and it was a misalarm. I dunno honestly what's gotten into him. Never in my life experienced something like this. HWha taway to treat a guest. I stayed here for a whole month, (2021.11.18-2021.12.17) and I have tooomany stories to share... I hope the owner wns up and grows up. After that night we had a fight, he started glaring at me not even saying hi everytime our eyes met. I mean who does that? I'm half his age. I thought he should really own up and apologize for what he's said and done. But oh well. Tthe hotel doesn't give you towels or gives you a room cleaning service for free. The towel's like 7dollars and room cleaning is 36$. I stayed here for a month like I've said beore, and the hotel manager Vlad gave us some free towels as a service which was nice. Yes... It's not like regular hotels. So please check before you book.
