1. Got a $10/day minibar credit but in the final invoice, they pretended that I didn't and charged me for it. When I called to get the invoice fixed, there was no manager and the person answering the phone (on May 5) had no idea about anything, couldn't pull up my reservation. couldn't help me with anything. Just told me to call later. This actually makes me livid because I had put a Twix out of the minibar on my suitcase (for later consumption), and the cleaning people just put it back in (and called it a "Refill"). So when I took it out again, I knew they would charge me twice for it, even though it was THE SAME TWIX. Knowing this would happen, as I did two things: 1) that very day went and told the front desk guy what had happened (he has dreadlocks) and he assured me, without doing anything, that I wouldn't get charged for it; and 2) because his demeanor was pretty casual and not professional, the next day when I checked out, I told the front desk lady what had happened, and she ALSO assured me what had happened and requested I not get double charged. Despite telling TWO PEOPLE WHO BOTH ASSURED ME THAT I WOULD NOT GET DOUBLE CHARGED FOR THE MINBAR, I STILL GOT DOUBLE CHARGED. 2. The day was hot and there was no A/C in the entire building. I had to leave the window open and it was very noisy due to the protests outside. 3. The cleaning people didn't clean the room, just left a note saying there were "personal belongings on the bed" and they didn't want to move them "without my permission". There were only some clothes on the bed. Just seems like another dimension on which hotels are trying to cut costs. I have never heard of cleaning crews not being able to move a few clothes off the bed (especially in a tiny room where there isn't much place to put anything).
