I visited Arlo Williamsburg over the weekend with my partner. We have never been & it was on our short list of must go to places in New York. We sat at the bar where we were immediately & tenderly greeted by the bartender, Mario. He made us feel right at home. He was attentive, knowledgeable, charming, and hilarious! He helped guide us on cocktail selections. He introduced us to cocktails we’ve never even heard before & both my partner & I worked in restaurants for years! Overall, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in New York & I owe it mostly to Mario…oh and my lovely partner of course :)))

Me and my husband stayed to celebrate our anniversary and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a great brunch and our waiter Carlos R. was very attentive and helpful. The location of the hotel is great, near great restaurants and bars in the hear of Williamsburg. I would absolutely recommend it. The rooms are clean and very comfy.

It's an odd sort of place. The manager told us that it was aimed at business travellers, so it was unlikely that your room would be prepared much before 5. We got there at about 1.30, and although the man on the desk said it would be ready for 3 it wasn't. If you can cope with the laid-back vibe of the staff, it's fine, and the rooftop view of Manhatten is terrific in spite of 2 G&Ts setting us back $43.00. Food OK, staff generally friendly.

The food was amazing and our waiter Carlos ensured we felt welcomed and pampered throughout our meal. Carlos guided us through the menu with expert knowledge, recommending the chef’s specialties and ensured our cups were never empty. Andreas warm smile and genuine hospitality truly made our brunch one to remember. We come here at least once a year and it is always a great time!

Really loved this hotel. It was in a trendy, cool part of NYC. Walking distance to so many great restaurants! I’m someone who needs coffee in the morning ASAP, and Mario down at the lobby espresso machine blew it out of the water. He was awesome, kind, and makes a delicious macchiato. Thanks, Arlo! We will be back so soon!
