Nice break for a couple of days in August 2022 loved all the facilities especially the pool area. The staff were very helpful and nothing was ever too much bother. Will definitely go back we had booked dinner and breakfast and all the food was great.

Had a superb pre-golf lunch at "The Hangout". Excellent service and really excellent steaks. Staff were wonderful and generously let us have "The Hangout" indoors (by exception) in view of weather. Generously cut and brilliantly cooked steaks for a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Amazing birthday meal at the hotel restaurant, served impeccably by our waiter David Hendy (great service by everyone else too). I even received an impromptu birthday cake with song. Food was also delicious. Best meal out in a while. Will definitely come back.

We had high expectations and that's probably where we went wrong. The staff on reception who greeted us were very miserable even though we'd driven for miles to get there. The man who checked us out though was pleasant.
On the plus side the bed was extremely comfortable and the main living area was clean.
Downside: The bath had hairs stuck in the plug, and the toilet footstool really needed a scrub. We weren't able to watch TV as there was no signal. We also couldn't use the internet in the room as the connection was so bad.
We had booked in for dinner at 6.15pm but when we arrived they had no booking for us. Luckily the lady who looked after us was just lovely and if it wasn't for her I would have cried. My chicken dinner was dry and the carrots looked like they were bulk purchased frozen.
We then decided to retire to the bar for a cocktail. We were told that there were no cocktails that evening due to no "shaker"! We ordered regular drinks. Half an hour later we saw the bar making cocktails! I asked the bar person ..are you making cocktails now, he said not for you.. I said who are those cocktails for and he replied for our VIP guests! I said would you not agree that every guest is VIP he then got embarrassed but still never made us a cocktail! What an insult! Shall never go back.

Exceptional service, very friendly staff, consistently outstanding food from different menus across the day, clean and comfortable rooms, peaceful location. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Thank you for an amazing stay to celebrate my brother’s 65th birthday. We couldn’t fault a thing, lunch in the Hang-Out was delicious - we ordered the nibbles as we were in a party of 18. Everything was tasty and plentiful. The staff even went out of their way when the youngest member of our group didn’t like the nibbles. They promptly provided a strawberry milkshake and garlic bread for him, which was met with a huge smile. Dinner in the evening was impressive, we had pre-ordered our food and everything arrived in a timely manner. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Our room was perfect, overlooking the golf-course. It had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We were often asked if we needed anything and they kept our drinks topped up throughout lunch and dinner. We hope to stay here again in the future.

My family and I spent a lovely time at Donnington Valley celebrating my husband’s 65th birthday with a party group of 18. An amazing place and awesome service. Children had an amazing time in the pool and the ladies within the group enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the spa. We also had the pleasure of tasting a delicious range of foods both at lunchtime in the Hang Out area (thank you to Darren) and dinner in the restaurant. The staff team were all friendly and attentive throughout our entire stay. Accommodating all our needs of all age groups. Well done team we will certainly be back 😀
