TRAVELODGE NEWBURY LONDON ROAD
"Had a lovely stay from the welcoming arrival asked about best place to park and was told that I could use the staff car park which was really helpful. The room was clean, cool with the provision of an extra fan in room if needed. Me and my daughter had a good night's sleep, the hotel was very quiet. Collected our breakfast boxes from reception in the morning which had everything need . Am so grateful to Annie who allowed me to leave my car in their car park for the day, while my daughter was on a training course for the day. A great stay and would definitely recommend friendly staff, clean rooms and 2 minute walk to town centre."
The Coat and Bear
"What a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect to find such a cozy hotel in a small town near London. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the breakfast was good. It's very convenient for people with cars, as it has its own parking lot. Note that the parking entrance is at the back door of the hotel."
Premier Inn Newbury Town Centre (London Road)
"They need to fix the air conditioning because it doesn't work and the window cannot be opened 1 millimetre and the room is very hot at night meaning my partner, daughter and I couldn't sleep. When we asked for a fan on the second day of our stay the receptionist said they didn't have any but on our last day when we used the luggage room there was a fan on the shelf if the luggage room so I was a bit annoyed because we didn't get a wink of sleep over the 4 nights of our stay."
The Lodge
"The lodge is a great location if you are going to the racecourse. We arrived at around 1:30 as the first race was at 2:30 and was told that if we wanted to check in early we would have to pay a fee of £20. When the races often start at around 2-2:30 this seemed unreasonable. I had to come out of he racecourse between races to check In. I’ve stayed at the Lingfield racecourse hotel and they checked us in 12:30 as our room was ready. Went for breakfast at around 7:50 and there was no menus out, the staff seemed totally disorganised. There was no instructions on how to order food. The continental “help yourself” was ok but had very little fruit options. They did have alpro soya and oat milk as milk alternatives. The room was clean and tidy but very basic. It did have a free standing fan which was good in the warm weather. The bad was big and comfortable. The shower was nice and had shower gel. The customer service let it down a little."
Newbury Town Centre South A339
"The room is big but it is dusty. The location very good"
Hare and Hounds Newbury
"I really like this hotel; it's very unique. Breakfast in the restaurant is à la carte, but the bread and blueberry yogurt are free. The room also provides two complimentary glass bottles of water each day. It's not mineral water, but the local drinking water. ☺️ The hotel is located in the small town of Newbury, surrounded by beautiful scenery and many English-style country cottages. 🏡 I was so moved. 💗 I just wanted to enjoy a different kind of rural scenery from the city. 😄"
Travelodge Newbury Chieveley M4
"Stayed at the Travelodge last weekend as we were attending the dog show at the showground. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. The only thing I would have wanted is more than two teabags in the room as we had a drink when we arrived but this left us without in the morning. I thought it was a bit expensive for the two dogs as it's £20 per dog but would stay again."
Crab & Boar
Cbh Donnington & Co (Formerly Donnington Valley Hotel)
"Staff and service are lovely lovely - the bed on my first night was a little soft. Skirting in the first bathroom didnt look like it had been cleaned in a year. The upholstery was pretty grim in both rooms, large cofee/wind stain on the curtains. The sofa looked like something from a student house and the desk chair pretty much the same - not reflective of room price"

The Elephant at the Market
"The room was in a small separated building literally in the parking lot, didn’t expect that. But inside is cozy and location is good."
Orida Hotels Newbury
"Hotel really well situated for the motorway and for Newbury station. The facilities are really good, and service received from the moment we arrived from the very friendly and helpful member of staff on reception. Really lovely breakfast with a great choice of food. Will definitely be returning"
The Furze Bush Inn
Ye Olde Red Lion
"Very pleasant place. Top food and top staff the service was amazing and so too the food the landlord and landlady where very nice and welcoming and nothing was too much to ask. The pub was very tidy and very nicely decorated with a great atmosphere. Also the pub is in a beautiful little village."
The Retreat, Elcot Park
Crown & Horns
"Took the family for dinner. Unfortunately they seemed to of had kitchen issues, calling in another chef after we had ordered. As much as the meal was reasonable at best. The excruciating long delay spoilt the evening. Whilst a round of drinks was welcome on the house, did not cut the mustard. The establishment had recently changed hands we believe. Will return at a much later date, when hopefully things will be a better experience. Here’s hoping …."
Pelican House
House of Fisher - Central Gate
"We had a fantastic stay at Central Gate. The apartment was spotless and clearly well looked after, and the whole building felt clean and well maintained. The self check-in process was simple and hassle-free, which made arriving really easy. We also really appreciated the welcome pack – the biscuits, tea, and coffee were a lovely touch and made us feel instantly at home. Overall, a great experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!"
