I proactively called the hotel to inform our late arrival and they told me they will send me an email with the self check in instruction but havent received any. I didnt have a problem contacting the person in charge during the night though but there is just the worry of not having someone from the hotel to speak to bec service desk is only at a limited time.
To set expectation also, room is not that spacious though but location is easy to find with free parking outside until 9am.

What I loved about the Lucky Hotel was plentiful.
The staff were great. The location was central to everything. The best cookie shop in the World is next door. Happy hour every night from 5-7pm. House wines and beers $6. Each room had a lovely touch of different quotes. The interior of the hotel is very well done with some quirky touches and their chili margaritas were delicious.
Will very happily stay there again when I am in Newcastle.

Very beautiful hotel, just by the pier, very close to the sea, there is a hotel restaurant downstairs and many other restaurants are very convenient

Good room, there is water, there is milk in the refrigerator. The a**osphere inside the hotel is good, good bar, good food, the bathroom floor is very slippery, even more slippery when hit with soap. Elderly people should be careful.

Great easy location with a tram station out the front. Parking is not great, however parking station short stroll away.
The food though at the hotel was not very nice and overpriced.

Awesome accommodation, amazing and compassionate staff (especially Demi). The rooms are always clean. There can be better rooms for the same price/cheaper elsewhere but I always prioritise The Lucky when booking as they always look after us. Additional bonus, they have a lift for accessibility.
