I am very disappointed with this resort. It’s a shame it doesn’t deliver to the level it should. We were traveling a bit off-season (mid-October): fewer people, less hassle, and more quiet. However, only one restaurant was open during our stay; they did not mention it anywhere. Ok, I don’t mind dining at one place during my stay. However, the food in the restaurant was waaaaay below average. No buffet, a la carte only. To give you a simple example: kids REFUSED to eat french fries because of how rubbery the french fries were. Everything we tried was embarrassingly bad (only the breakfast was ok). We did not expect black caviar or a molecular cuisine experience, but they charged extraordinary prices for something that was poorly made. Do not expect anyone at the beach or pool to make a beach chair for you; we set up the umbrellas and chairs ourselves. Their morning starts around 8:30/9 am, and no one is around earlier. There was also no food and drink service available for us at the beach. The drinks and dirty towels left at the pool the evening before were still there the next morning at 9 am. The seaweed was cleaned very casually, so assume the beach will always have it, which wasn’t a big deal for us, the ocean was still beautiful. The service is slow. The average wait time to get your food is 45-50 minutes. There is a kids' club (3+). The babysitting is $60+$20 in fees (not tips) per hour. It’s more of a free play, and the organized activities are mostly only on paper; they take kids outside per your request, but not to the pool/beach area. Make sure you specify no TV if you get babysitting services; otherwise, you’ll end up paying almost $80 per hour for your kids to watch TV. Overall, I would love to return to St Kitts and Nevis, but definitely not to this hotel. I hope they will fix their food and beverage situation and add at least a Breakfast buffet for customers’ convenience.
