Last night my apartment got broken in because of lack of security. Me and my family were asleep until someone came in and broke our door and tried to hurt us. This have left us absolutely devastated and terrified, we called the police and left the apartment. Nothing in this apartment is working properly. The stove is broken, we had multiple short circuits happening, the bed mattresses are not proper and made us all wake up with back pain. The reception, maintenance team and management were NOT HELPFUL AT ALL! They left us for 3 days with no wifi and never helped us with anything we requested and on top of all of that the place is FILTHY and it was an absolute nightmare.I have requested a full refund for this absolutely terrible experience and still havent even heard back from the Receptionist or management they have absolutely ignored me and my messages and never bothered to answer me. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!

I would say this place is for a stag dos or any cheap group night out. I wouldn’t have any expectations when you go. They have 2 blocks, one in town and one by the quayside and the information wasn’t quite clear enough on which we were as we went to the main quayside one first, to then be told we were at the wrong one. There isn’t a lot of parking if you arrive when it’s full, it’s quite a faff figuring it out especially if you don’t know Newcastle, so make sure you’ve got back ups if the one nearby is full. When arriving I thought it was ok but as you actually pay attention to the space there are chairs with broken legs, no legs, sick on the step etc. it could have been worse but seems strange they would keep a chair with 3 legs on show. Why not remove it? I left an item behind in the room (yes my fault) and I tried contacting them multiple times and no one got back to me. My MIL got a response and they said they would check with housekeeping but so far no response. The rooms were boiling at night even with windows open, and because you’re in town it’s very noisy at night but I guess that’s expected. If you aren’t bothered and just want a cheap stay for a stay do /hen do etc then book here but if not this isn’t the place for u.

A large group of us booked to stay in these apartments last week, we had 4 of the 6 apartments in this block and we was in shock when we got in and saw the state of each one I stayed in apartment 2, and we had many issues - there was 6 of us and we were given 4 towels for 4 nights, I phoned wednesday asking for more towels ans toilet roll and was told they don’t have deliveries until Thursday, I called Thursday and was told they would send some over, we never received them - we had no hot water on day 1, luckily I had John the maintenance man’s phone number and called him in to fix it - Holes punched in walls - no mirrors in any of the bedrooms, we had to share one in the bathroom - extremely low water pressure in main shower made it impossible to use, meaning 6 of us was waiting for the smaller shower every day - main shower glass was hanging off - bathroom radiator hanging off - the smaller shower had no panel at the bottom, my friend caught her foot when getting in the shower and cut it - door wouldn’t shut properly - no fire alarm Our apartment was the better one out of the 4 we had between our group, as the others had broken door handles, bigger holes in the walls and one had a glass table covered in ❄️ stains upon check in I am currently waiting for an email back from the apartments to escalate this complaint as this ruined our time in Newcastle with our friends as we was worried about what else could go wrong with the apartment while we was there Avoid these apartments at all costs, another friend was staying at the Quayside location and had no complaints, so if you really want to book a dream apartment, book in there but I don’t think this company deserves money from anyone if they’re letting people stay in apartments in this condition

Great location but there was damage everywhere. Blinds damaged, holes in walls etc. It's worrying when you have to leave a safety deposit and the place is already in bits. We were worried we might be blamed. It was OK for us on a stag party as we just needed a place to crash but for anything else it was poor.

One of the most terrible apartments I’ve ever stayed in. The outside and entrance is dirty, massive bin full of rubbish. The stairs is dark and unkempt and smelly. The apartment itself was a 3 bedroom apartment. The whole place was dull, unkempt, smelly and of very poor quality. We booked a 5 day stay but only stayed one night. Firstly one bedroom had no window blind so nobody could sleep in there. The whole place had marks on walls, carpets, worktops. The lounge furniture was all mark or torn. The worse problem was the toilet. It didn’t work and there was water all over the floor. I contacted reception staff who did send someone from maintenance to fix it but it wasn’t fixed, so we had no toilet to use all day and overnight. I continue to ring to say how unhappy I was at the standard of this apartment. Also the pillows were all stained so you couldn’t sleep on them. Overall this apartment which looks lovely on their website, don’t be fooled. They are horrendous. Also they aren’t cheap at £255 per night. Please keep away. Do not book.

This is one of the worst apartments I have ever stayed at. So many problems. First apartment suite smelt of cigarette smoke and hob didn’t work so they transferred us to another suite. More problems in the next one! Shower was not working, broken toilet seat lid - broke twice, fixed the first time, reached out to them the second time but I was just ignored, Hallway light was broken, fridge randomly decided to switch off somehow and a lot of food went bad, blood stained sheets, one of the mattresses (mine) was springy which meant I woke up with severe back pain! ! The wifi was the WORST! Had to use data for the entire duration of our stay - but the signal/service was so bad too. The only good thing about it is it is in the middle of town, conveniently situated (only reason it gets a 2 stars instead of 1 star). Suite drunk neighbours literally harass you, we had to put chairs in front of our door just to feel safe. Bad reviews on Google too. They did fix almost everything (except the wifi) but all of this should’ve been fixed before we moved in!

Me and my friends had originally booked the Quayside Apartments but on the day of check in an email informed us that we were staying in the Bigg Market apartments. We were disappointed and mislead as this wasn’t the venue we had booked. Upon arrival, the stairway to the apartment stunk. The smell was so strong and potent. The apartment was shabby and due a makeover. Poorly done paint jobs and chipped and damaged furniture.Facilities were poor. With only one half used toilet roll to accommodate 4 people. The lock on the door to our apartment had clearly been damaged prior. A replacement catch had been added on but didn’t serve any security to the door. Anyone could have easily forced entry to our apartment as the lock was so loose. Everything just felt tired and used. We left the apartment on a night out and returned at around 3am. Upon arriving back we had noticed that the slum like cleaning cupboard in the apartment entry stairway was open. When we peered in, to our disbelief there was a man asleep in there. Clearly intoxicated. We made attempts to call the apartment phone number we were provided with but had no response at all. Resulting in us calling the police to remove the man. As four young girls we felt extremely unsafe and just wanted to go home. We left early the following morning to get a train home. I would avoid this apartment block at all costs. It is dirty , poorly facilitated and extremely unsafe.

I’ll start at the beginning….. before our arrival I had already received 3 emails all with different check in times! This was then confirmed over the phone that check in would be 4pm and if I wanted an earlier check in it would be an additional £20! Despite even the website t’s and c’s saying check in was 2pm! I was then told check out is now 10am….. the website says 11am! Despite this I didn’t argue and agreed to check out at 10am. The day of check in I called and paid the fee for the room and an addition £250 deposit and was told I would receive the check in details at 15:45 ready for my 16:00 arrival! 16:25 came around and still no details so I had to call and ask for the pin code for the front door and which room we would be staying in! Finally at 16:27….. 27 minutes after agreed check in time I finally had the details on how to enter the building! On entering the building we were greeted with what can only be described as the smells of the sewers! The door way and the stairwell is very narrow and there is no lift so all luggage has to be dragged up the stairs! We had to hurdle past the dirty bed sheets and towels on the first floor (that was there for the whole duration of our stay) and make our way to the second floor to our room. There is no key to the rooms so you need to put a passcode into the keypad on the door and this will unlock the door for you. The apartment itself was piss poor! There were nails on the floor which we had to move after stepping on one! Rooms were half decorated, there was damage to all seats and the kitchen benches, even the kitchen tap was trying desperately to escape! But we figured it was only one night…… and the beds looked reasonably clean We got ready and went to our planned event on the night and had an amazing night! HOWEVER……. We returned back to the apartment only to find the lock on the room door had been smashed off and our room with all of our belongings in was now open! We were out of the room all of 4 hours and had been broken into!!! After a quick call to the apartments manager we were told they would get an emergency locksmith out to the room to secure it again! Leaving 5 girls to stay in an unsecured room until the locksmith arrived!!! Obviously we were not happy with this so we called the police ourselves and ended up being transferred to another apartment on the quay side! (Which may I add was lovely in comparison to the cesspit we were originally in! Thankfully I received my full deposit back! I will never recommend this place to anyone! Not even the quay side apartments as the customer service We received was abysmal!
