Great if you have to be in this area, nice bars inside the hotel. It is a bit outdated compared to more modern hotels and personally I don't like carpet flooring too much but it's typical in the older hotels in the UK, at least they were clean and had no bad smell. Supermarket very close by. Metrostation jesmond West around 6 minutes walking distance.

A quiet, friendly hotel The decor in the room and especially the bathroom is "tired" and the latter could do with some renovation.
Staff were very amenable and helpful especially when the towels in the bathroom had not been replaced by the cleaners.
A lovely hearty breakfast although the coffee could be fresher and stronger! We will definitely stay here again.

Clean very comfortable bed! Room was specious with a lovely tv and shower was clean and lovely hot water!! Definitely RECOMMENDED. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Not far from city centre should you want more of clubs and night life. This Hotel is exceptionally close to everything!! And they do food as well!

Loved this hotel. The staff were very helpful and cheery. We booked one of the refurbished rooms and it was really good. Nice comfy bed, robes , slippers , selection of toiletries, tea/coffee, crisps and water. Our room was at the front of the hotel but at 11 pm they close the bar very promptly so there was no issue with late night noise. The bar itself is great. A couple of pool tables, sport being shown and a good selection of drinks. Great ‘Speed’ quiz on Sunday nights. Breakfast was also good, 2 mornings it was hot and cold buffet and the other morning it was cooked to order. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the metro and just around the corner from local shops and cafes in Jesmond. Short taxi ride from Jesmond into Newcastle or a half hour walk. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Jesmond Suite. It was fabulous! Two huge rooms - one lounge and one bedroom with lovely high ceilings, plush curtains and a gorgeous red velvet sofa. Shower looked a bit dated but was powerful and hot so no complaints. Breakfast buffet was a bit chaotic but we all got we wanted eventually and it was delicious, hot and freshly prepared.

We came with my daughter who is currently recovering from surgery and uses crutches the lift was broken so they upgraded us to a suite on the ground floor it was so nice and comfortable can’t thank them enough

The Hotel is okay, it could do with a refresh, lots af chipped paintwork. Our bath was chipped. Perhaps we got a room which is on the list to be refurbished, id like to think so.
Reception and bar area were much better and the staff were very good and friendly.
