Stayed two nights over a weekend - what a lovely quiet oasis in the busy city - room was ground floor- well equipped and lovely unique large bathroom - everything you need for a comfortable stay. Had breakfast - French toast berry compote and granola with yogurt - really nice and would recommend. Great easy walking access to the quayside and ouseburn which was ideal for us. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Fantastic stay on Sunday 19 May. It was a birthday gift which included the five course tasting menu with wine. First our welcome at reception was so friendly. Our room on the top floor was amazing. The twin bath bathroom up the stairs with sofa & TV was fabulous. Plus stunning views over the River Tyne. We enjoyed a five course meal with matching wines & were so impressed with Harry who looked after us. His knowledge of the wines was amazing & he actually made the night for us both. Wonderful setting in great former industrial building renovation with views over the Tyne. Far enough away from centre of town to be quiet, but still walkable to get to the centre.

We stayed on Friday night and it was a lovely little get away. we were given a warm welcome by johnathan on reception and later served by Brooke on the bar, who makes an excellent margarita! We were also looked after by Adam who was extremely helpful and professional. Our room was fantastic and had amazing views of the Tyne. At breakfast we were blessed with some sunshine and opted to sit outside, although the restaurant looked very inviting. We were served by the ever smiley iryna and again, she was very helpful. I didn't have any breakfast due to the over indulgence of margaritas however, my partner did and enjoyed it. Honestly can't fault this lovely hotel. We'll no doubt be back in the future!

I cannot overstate how amazing this hotel is. Superb rooms, excellent facilities, very professional and supportive staff. Food was absolutely spot on. Don’t hold back in getting the upgrade. Totally worth every penny. A must go to in Newcastle for an excellent stay.

Hotel du vin in Newcastle is a hotel with a heart driven by a lovely team who genuinely care about their guests. All of our staff & visitors stay at the hotel when in the area and we are delighted with the quality of the rooms, service and food. Can’t recommend enough!

We stayed at Hotel Du Vin last night as a special treat gifted to us by family for our Wedding Night. From the get go, Jonathan and team went above and beyond to welcome us, even leaving a complimentary bottle of Champagne. We were completely blown away by the suite we stayed in. Given we usually stay at Premier Inns, walking into a room with two floors, a spiral staircase and matching roll top baths was absolutely incredible. There's the odd review on here that mention the place is looking tired or dated a d we can say hand on heart that is NOT the case. Breakfast was included in our stay and once more all the staff were so friendly and the food was outrageously good. Would not hesitate to stay here again, thanks so much for making our wedding visit so memorable !
