Hi , it was short stay along with the location was okay surprising part not quite much offering on surrounding, there was confusion with the rate I have to additional amount of 40 pounds due extra adult however the room was meant for 6 maximum adult as per the room categories . Quite in-transparent with the details by agency or owner , also the Hk Maria can’t recall the name was gem person she was very kind helpful also hard working and well manner with the things . Overall it was okay , but incase we can add on service points like towel on request breakfast on request as it’s more of resident cottage . Thank you , Ankur t

The rooms did not look the same as shown in the pictures. We arrived and got told that we had to pay a £75 deposit which was not mentioned before . No towels provided and we couldn’t put the heating on. There were loud noises during the night. Would recommend paying the extra for a better hotel.

*Original review on *********** *In response to your previous reply: I paid for 2 adults… my small 5 year old easily could have shared. There was no need to charge extra. I could have stayed at the Grand hotel in Gosforth for less and been a lot more comfortable with a pool. The area is terrible… unsafe and the owners were arguing beneath us. Walls are paper thin. The room had a triple bunk bed and a single bunk bed crammed into a tiny room. No heating and thin broken mattress. There was no soap and paying £75 a night for a run down hostel with no towels or soap to wash hands and everything else wrong is a complete shambles. Shame on you!

Very basic. Good for a group of lads who don't intend to be in room long. Very cramped room. Sneaky 50 quid deposit at check in. Payable by cash or bank transfer only. Bed surprisingly comfy but room very warm with 9 men in. Served it's purpose but that's it.

We got there to be told no rooms available despite booking over a month ago, the man on reception was very unhelpful and did not even try to suggest a solution. We had to book alternative hotel at such short notice we were miles away from city centre

We arrived at the property ‘with parking’ there is no carpark just a disgusting residential street with rubbish everywhere that looks the kind of area you would come back to find your car missing, we walked around to the front and entered reception to two men that spoke poor English were on the desk, they were rude, they gave us paper work and told we had to pay a £50 damage deposit, I questioned this as the paperwork and policy on booking states £20; he mentioned about a group that had broke a shower tray and it cost £500 to repair (I doubt anything in this place cost £500) and now it’s £50, we had just driven 5 a half hours and didn’t know the area, so just paid the £50, at this point we were told there is a room where the tea and coffee & fridge is, it’s not in room as implied and that towels are charged at £1 each and that if we get cold we need to ask at reception for the heat to be put on 😳 bearing in mind this is a £68 per night room, I was a little taken aback. We were then told the room was on the top floor, so we headed up the stairs past they ‘gym’ which is random pieces of gym equipment in the corridor of each floor and as soon as we opened the door the smell of damp/mould hit you despite the sky light window being wide open, it has clearly been leaking for some time there was a huge patch of damp on the wall below, and a stain on the radiator cover, I dread to think what it’s like behind there, we went straight down to reception and asked for a different room, he told me to come with him and tell him the problem, so I went back up and said that the huge damp patch on the wall is not acceptable and the room stinks, he got very defensive; almost shouting and told me there is nothing wrong it’s been fixed at this point I knew there was going to be a big problem so I managed to snap a few pictures before he told me to get out of the room, we went down to reception and I asked if we could be put in a different room, we were told we need to pay more money, obviously we refused, the owner become quite irate and defensive when we asked for a refund and really quite frightening too, told us there is nothing wrong with the room, I told him I cannot stay in there I have asthma and damp can make me ill, I said we will have to find somewhere else and I want a refund he tried to refund the £50 damage deposit to my credit card that I had used on my Apple Pay and it wouldn’t work he asked me to leave my bank details and he would sort it out, I told him I didn’t feel comfortable with that, at this point he became patronising and said what do you think I’m going to do? I responded by saying I have no idea I don’t know you and I’m not comfortable leaving banking information, then I asked if he could refund my other card, he made me sign a receipt but so far the money has not gone back into my account, as I felt really scared and intimidated I forgot to get receipt we then asked for a refund on the room he refused shouted at us to ring *********** as w

We didn’t even stay here! Looked at the photos and it looked nice when we booked. After a five hour drive we turned up to the “free car park” to find a dirty dingy back alley way, we’re greeted by a very rude man clearly running a taxi rank from his reception who wanted £50 as a holding fee rather than the £20 that was stated on his paper work. Got very defensive when we questioned it! Said it was. A “new thing” due to someone causing lots of damage. (Research when we came back he had been charging people this unexpected fee for a year now, plenty of time to update paperwork!) We paid begrudgingly due to the differing amount in the paperwork and went up to the room, opened the door, the stench hit our nostrils, even the open window didn’t get rid of it! Looked at the peeling paintwork on the wall and the leaking loft window. Could have dealt with the smallness if it was clean but it was literally uninhabitable!!! Went and spoke to the manager to say the room was not acceptable especially with the damp, asked for another room, he wanted more money off us. We asked for a refund so we could find something else, he swore at us made us feel very frightened and intimidated. His response was ring ***********. We then had a nightmare trying to get the £50 extra we had just paid. He wanted us to leave our bank account number til later in the evening. Certainly not! He was rude and aggressive I. The way he spoke. We rang *********** who told us it was up to him to refund us as he had our money! He had a friend sat at the desk with him who clearly felt uncomfortable by the managers actions. As we were leaving he went on the phone. When we walked back round to the back there was an intimidating man in a taxi watching us. All in all an awful experience!!!! Read the reviews on *********** which we should have done first in reflection and we are certainly not the first! This place need’s shutting down! And the manager needs some lessons in customer service! Luckily we managed to get booked into premier inn. Wouldn’t have stayed in that room even if we had been paid! Whole experience was quite frightening and traumatic!
