When we made the booking it was with the Devon Hotel Co, however our room was a leftover from the days of the Devon Motel Co. It was small and basic, the plus point was the above average en-suite and safe. Their web site talks of "luxury infused rooms" and "our ground floor rooms will be the most delightful addition to your overnight stays" (whatever they mean). To use the TV/Sky box required a degree in advanced electronics, the fridge did not work and the "rooms boasting an outdoor patio area, where you can enjoy the country views" was, in essence the 6ft gap between your motel room and parked cars, with a further view to more parked cars and a busy road with a roundabout on it with the subsequent braking and acceleration of cars. There is very little hanging/storage space and although they do state that an ironing board is available I don't think there is room to use it.

It was lovely to get away for a couple of days. No rush and lazy meals provided by someone else in lovely surroundings but still close to Exeter.

Ran hot water bath. No problem with hot water. Gave it 5 mins to cool down.
When returned, realised water had been
Running away with plug in place quite fast.plug seal not working.
Fridge was hot outside warm inside.
Coffee saxhet quality awful. Traffic view.
Could do with chill out space at rear with

Return visit to this hotel as you can rely on cleanliness efficiency and quality food. Easily accessible from motorway with plenty of parking and Matford Park and Ride into Exeter city centre is 5 minute walk or u can park there free all day.

Short city break stayed at this hotel many times before close to motorway and short drive into Exeter centre hotel has always been clean and tidy nice staff good breakfast parking on site good WiFi only downside is road noise if you stay at front of building despite good double glazing

Staff where very helpful in the hotel as well as bar and restaurant. Room was clean and tidy with everything you needed for a great stay. Bar and restaurant well presented and food was very good.

Staff especially Sam were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and a perfect size. Breakfast was lovely and hot with a good variety.
