It feels like the hotel is still stuck in the last century. It is very classical and beautiful. The clothes of the staff inside are all very classic.
The interior palace-style room was originally prepared for us, but we wanted a sea view, so they changed it for us. It was pretty good.

OK, help with free upgrades. There are a lot of oil paintings hanging in the hotel. But too expensive unless you go very close to Nice beach.

Elegant and peaceful security should be the hallmark of a 5-star establishment, and the Negresco has the opposite. In a 5-star hotel I should never have to witness security guards shouting into the face of guests or visitors. I should not have to witness vague intimidation techniques such as filming visitors with cell phones. This kind of behaviour makes everyone uncomfortable and is totally unacceptable. This is a symptom of extremely poor training and bullies should be disciplined for intimidating anyone. We arrived at the hotel for a short visit. Reception Staff was beyond lovely. Both bar and restaurant staff was also polite and extremely accommodating. Hotel was clean. But the security staff was aggressive and rude. I witnessed this happening on so many multiple occasions during our visit that it eventually became comical. In other words, this was not an anomaly. I will never set foot in this establishment again.

The greatest hotel experience of my life - first class accommodations, dining, and, most importantly, staff that I have ever enjoyed; been to 5 star hotels and resorts all over the world - Le Negresco topped them all!! Can't wait to go back next year! Tres Excellent!!!
