Location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic and yet we didn’t find it noisy at all. Shops, stores, restaurants and the beach are all steps away. Old town is about 10 mins walk. Our room was clean and staff was very friendly. I only took one star off because of little things like no boxed tissues (but there was extra toilet paper), no kettle or coffee in the room and AC didn’t work very well. We’ll be happy to stay here again next time we’re back in Nice. We’re a family of 3 with 3 single beds and 2 together. Even with that the room didn’t feel too small. Having a balcony was awesome as well

My partner and i were there for 2 days. The location is very good. Other than this the hotel has very basic amenities, the hotel rooms are small and not in good condition. The shower is over the bath and the space is small. An old style of shower. There is no room service to order meals to your room so you have to be out to get something to eat. Upon arrival i asked the girl at the reception desk to freeze my icepack for my medication. When we checked out she gave me a completey thawed and soft icepack. When i asked her why it wasn't frozen, she literally just shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know. She didn't care that i was travelling with medication and that i had carefully explained to her when we checked in why i needed the icepack frozen. She didn't apologise either, was completely non-chalant despite the fact that i was clearly upset and anxious about my meds that i had to take on a flight with me. Her colleague then offered to run to the pharmacy to buy me a icepack. We expected a better quality stay and a better hotel experience but we were dissapointed. I would not recommend this hotel especially to older couples. We would rather pay more for a more comfortable stay. Tanya G South Africa

The hotel was fine, check in was smooth and hassle free, just as the check out. The Receptionist at check out (Silvia) was very helpful and managed to pull my Marriott Bonvoy subscription although I didn't have my membership card number with me, unfortunately as my booking was done by travel agency, I didn't get the points for that stay (5 days) 😔😕. The rooms were quite spacey, shower was decent but no bathtub (not a big deal) but there were a balcony which was a plus 😍 In room : Biggest problem was the Air conditioning (stuck at 24 C) we were told that this was as per regulations for EU power consumption. And there were no Iron as well. Breakfast was quite OK for me, but I have seen much better in 5 Star hotels. The location of restaurant with sea view was wonderful. The Bar was just next to reception desk... At night it was very loud (one can hardly hear a conversation with his fellows once passing by that area) also the smell was not favorable (specially if you are not into alcoholic beverages ). Elevators were not fully operational, and at certain times one had to wait for 5 minutes to get into it. All in all the stay was pretty good and I enjoyed it a lot

While the location of this hotel is great and the staff was very welcoming, the room itself was extremely small and the breakfast was lacking. If you happen to be in Nice during the market days, save yourself the cost of the breakfast and find yourself some fresh produce at the market and stop at a local patisserie for a pastry. It will be more economical and much better quality. While the bed was very comfortable, I don't know that we could have stayed more than a night due to the confines of the room. Location is the greatest asset here and that was our prime reason for choosing.

The location is very good in a very central area, the rooms are small but the facilities are well equipped to cook for yourself, and there is an internet celebrity food street nearby. Disadvantages: 1. It’s very tired to go upstairs with luggage. 2. There is no bottled water provided. You need to go out and buy it yourself. If you don’t mind drinking tap water, please ignore. 3. Order to pay at the store. When you check out, you swipe your credit card and then Ctrip said that my no show had deducted my security deposit, and it was wrong to ask Ctrip to verify it before returning it to me. There is a bnb recommended by lp on the first floor of the same address. The facade looks better than this one. There is a camera at the door. Friends in need can search by themselves.

I cannot recommend this hotel especially at the prices they charged. Arrived at 5.30pm and room wasn't ready. They then said it was and gave us a smaller room than we had booked and paid for. When we said so they told us ”Americans have a different idea of what king-sized means”. An hour later they called and agreed we had indeed booked a bigger room and offered to move us to one with a king bed. The man from reception then took us to said room without offering to help us with our luggage. Just stood and watched us drag our bags across the carpeted corridors ...All I can say is it was 3 star service and quality at VERY high prices. The next morning we moved to an absolutely world class hotel which was ten times nicer and less expensive. Over-priced, outdated and obnoxious staff.

The hotel room is very small, the windows are small, and there is no balcony. The room is newly decorated and tasteless, the bedding is very good, the bed is comfortable to sleep on, the bath water is small, the bathroom is small, and the washstand is cramped. There is no pool and the gym is small. The breakfast is semi-buffet, the taste is not bad, and the choice is small. The service staff are enthusiastic.

Séjour agréable. La chambre était correcte mais mériterait un rafraîchissement surtout pour une chambre supérieure. Literie en très bon état Salle de bains en bon état Petit déjeuner très copieux dans une salle très spacieuse. Personnel aimable, à l'écoute et très réactif Hôtel bien situé et proche des rues piétonnes. Un seul bémol: pas de parking à l'hôtel et il faut prévoir un budget conséquent pour les parkings à proximité.

This was my 4th visit to Ajoupa and my 5th visit to Nice. What I particularly appreciate about the accommodation is its comfort, and discretion, which many hotels lack. It’s like having your own apartment in Nice! The location could not be more central- you walk out of the front door right into the unique atmosphere of Nice. I had not travelled since the airport tram was introduced, and from Terminal 2, the Tram delivers you to Jean Médecin in a little over 25 mins - then you reach Ajoupa in 5 mins. Once you check in you are left to your own devices…everything you need is within walking distance, and 3 mins after leaving the front door you find yourself in the magnificent Place Masséna. Gare Nice Ville is an easy walk, and during my short visit I went to Villefranche, Menton and Antibes. I walked to Villefranche ….a beautiful walk. All the team at Ajoupa are charming and very helpful with local knowledge and information. I work in the hospitality sector, and this is how hospitality should be done. I particularly enjoy this place as a solo traveller, but I also think Nice itself is a fantastic location for the solo traveller. You can just get lost in the bustle of the city. It is a fabulous place, I love it very much, and Ajoupa is the perfect accommodation for my love affair with Nice to continue.
