Hotel du Midi

🏨 is just a few mins walk from Nice Gare. Room is small but functional. There is only soup in the toilet. Need to bring your personal commodities when staying in this hotel. Price is resonable in low season .

Rooms facing the road outside of the 🏨 can be noisy early in the morning. Room is not spacious, but good for single travellers without many baggages.

We arrived by taxi from airport 30 mins. Hotel is on a street off Main Street . 20 min walk to the sea. There is a lift. We were on the 4 th floor. Room is very small. The two lights above the bed are held together with tape. The bed is very soft. Maybe a new mattress is due. There is a walk in cupboard which consists of 4 coat hangers and a fridge. That is it for storage there are no drawers no where else to leave your clothes other than in your case or on the floor in a Pile. There is a tv on the wall. Bathroom smelt dreadful not sure if it’s the drains. Toiletries consisted of an individual soap and a liquid soap dispenser over the bath. The plug in the bathroom is cracked and in my opinion unsafe to use. The room breakfast is served in is quiet pleasant. You don’t see any staff everything is self service. Maybe for one day it’s ok but when you are staying for a week it’s not so good. No choice at all. I found the staff I did see very unfriendly never a hello or anything. I could not recommend this place neither would I return. I always leave fair revues the things I would like to read in a review .

This is far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a hotel stay. We had been traveling for 8-9h and when we finally arrived at the hotel there was a lot of problems. We had already made a prepayment trough out booking, but the receptionist said that we needed to pay at the hotel because he didn’t see the payment. I’ve been working as a receptionist in a hotel in Sweden for almost 8 years now and I’ll tell you that the guy in the reception at Hotel Du Midi when we checked in was the worst receptionist I have ever met. He did not even wanted to cooperate and help us solve the problem. He just smiled and said “you will have to call booking”. In my perspective, he is the one that should have contacted booking and be service minded. But no, we stood at the lobby for 30-40 minutes in a queue with booking. This is by FAR the worst welcome I have ever had. This person should not work in service. We felt unwelcome and a bit humiliated. And it wasn’t until another receptionist came and helped us (because he heard that we were upset) with the booking that he realized that we already had paid. But the first guy wasn’t interested in helping us out at all. (The other people we met that worked in the reception were nice but this check in really ruined the whole hotel stay for us, unfortunately) And the Wi-Fi was a joke. Didn’t work at all. The cleaning was very good though.

Dissapointed with the cleaning, we found hair on the badsheets. The room is very narrow as well. Location is ok.
