Me and my girlfriend have just returned home from a 3 night stay in Nice. Nice is an amazing city to visit and highly recommend anyone to visit the stunning water! We came to Nice for my girlfriend's birthday, and decided to contact the hotel via text message to see whether they could decorate the room - responses were initially quick however, I kept getting ignored and staff members contradicting each other. Some saying I had to pay for the room to be decorated and others saying it's complimentary. Eventually, I was emailed by a staff member who said this request was complimentary and whether we would like a small bottle of champagne for 20 euros. All agreed for the room to be decorated. We arrived at the hotel early, and we were told that our room was ready. Checked in early, went up into the room and there was no birthday decorations, no message - just two ginger biscuits on the bed. The hotel totally disregarded my request. I did not bother asking the hotel at the time as it was too late and was supposed to be a surprise for when we went into the room. When checking in and throughout our time in the hotel, the downstairs lobby smelt of sewage/toilet - but is not strong so was not worth moaning about. We stayed in a Spacious Queen Room on the top floor - Very nice and luxurious (See pictures). The shower is in the centre of the room which is different. The air-conditioning works and is a very nice! Although, the room with the toilet is very warm. On the first floor, you can get additional toiletries, tea, coffee and fill up a water bottle. The staff were friendly during our stay and even offered to keep our bags during our last day when we checked out. The hotel is situated 5 min walk from Nice-Ville (Train station) which has a direct train to Monaco and other tourist destinations (Eze, Cannes, Antibes). Also a 15 minute walk to the sea front. Overall, this is a really nice hotel and do highly recommend staying here. However, if you are looking for special requests, maybe look at different hotels to save yourself the disappointment.
