The Hotel Italia Ken

Although it is a historic hotel, it was a very nice hotel. The breakfast was also delicious. I often stayed at other hotels in Niigata, but I wish I had stayed there earlier.

The hotel was clean and the customer service was calm and polite. It seems that the rice is famous, but I didn't have time to eat it so I would like to try it next time. The price was also reasonable.

It's still a bit far from the JR station. Taking a taxi costs 1200-1400, depending on the congestion. Breakfast was ok and had everything you need. Booking breakfast one day in advance is 500 yen cheaper. I booked an executive room, but I was not given the benefits of an executive room. The hotel WIFI is sometimes good or bad and needs to be disconnected and reconnected. In addition, the hotel is next to a place that may be taboo for Chinese people.

The hotel has a long history and is very clean with nice furniture. Not only the front desk staff, but all the employees were very friendly and the room was kept clean. The breakfast menu had a wide variety and was very tasty and satisfying. This time, I stayed for one night, but I had a comfortable and relaxing stay. I would like to stay here again the next time I come to Niigata.

The room was also fairly spacious and clean. Breakfast was very delicious. The surrounding area is in the center of Niigata, and there are delicious restaurants and izakaya, so I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Those who came to stay during the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival, the house price is higher than usual, but the high-quality service, convenient transportation and delicious meals still make people feel that the value for money is excellent. It only takes 4 stops to take the bus to Niigata Station, and it takes only a few minutes to walk to the bus station. You can also walk through the historic underground shopping mall, which is very cool in summer. A taxi to the train station is only 1,000 yen. There are many temples and shrines around the hotel, as well as the former sites of the consulates of various countries in Japan. It is an 8-minute walk from the Niigata Art Museum. You can directly see the Sea of Japan from the hotel room, and it takes only a quarter of an hour to walk to the beach. Going out is the famous flower street in Niigata, where restaurants, pubs and clubs abound. The hotel breakfast is very rich, curry rice, omelet and yogurt are very good. Marco Polo and Firefly are great, as well as a well-known Chinese restaurant. The bath product in the room is pola, and the bath salt is DHC. The very characteristic is the quilt cover, which is made of Japanese washi fiber and is very comfortable.

The staff was very kind. I booked two rooms, but the old building was larger and a little cold. I was bothered by the sound of the heating boiler in the morning.
