"This hotel is located in the center of Iwamuro Onsen, about a 40-minute drive from Niigata Airport. I traveled by rental car, which made it convenient, but if you're relying on public transport, you'll need to double-check the schedules. There are no shops or convenience stores nearby, so you'll need to stock up on everything before checking in. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the quality of its hot springs. There are two onsen baths. The one on the first floor has a faint sulfur smell and a beautiful greenish-blue color. You can really feel the difference in your skin after a soak – the hot spring water quality is excellent! There's also a sauna, but the downside is the lack of a cold plunge pool. While there's cold water available to pour over yourself, there's no actual pool to fully immerse in. Still, the hot spring water quality is truly outstanding."

The ryokan has managed to provide excellent service while maintaining privacy as well. They provide a shuttle (please call the hotel directly in advance) to and fro from the Iwamuro train station. Overall, it was a very memorable onsen trip for us!"
