Like it and hope to come back

It's OK, but the price/performance ratio is low. Rock climbing in the hotel is recommended.

The hotel rises on a cliff, with beautiful views, and the swimming pool has hot water. Even when watching the sunset at dusk, you can slowly enjoy it in the swimming pool. In addition, the hotel also provides many free activities. Although I did not have time to participate, they all seemed very attractive.

This is my second visit to Oman and the first time I visited Alila Jabal Akhdar. The temperature in the mountains at this time is + 25C, which is very comfortable for traveling. The hotel is amazing! Since everything is based on the concept of being as eco-friendly as possible, there are no plastic bottles here, and even in the bathroom the bath line (shampoos, conditioners, liquid soap) is poured into ceramic containers. From my point of view, this is a controversial decision, since all these containers slip out of your hands and it is quite problematic to get the right amount of detergent from a ceramic vessel without a dispenser. I would like the hotel management to either provide for the installation of dispensers on the entire bath line, as is done in public areas, or still offer guests to use plastic containers. The service in the hotel is impeccable. I am delighted with the hospitality, from the reception to cleaning the room. My room was very spacious, with a beautiful view of the mountains and the pool. I am attaching the photos. During my stay the hotel was not at its maximum capacity, so the pool was practically my own. Breakfast at the hotel is chosen from the menu and the waiters are in a hurry to fulfill any of your wishes, remaining invariably friendly and efficient. Dinner at the hotel was incredibly delicious. I chose local fish and a non-alcoholic cocktail. The presentation of the dishes, the mountains surrounding you, the silence, the starry sky and the wonderful taste create an indescribable experience! If you have the opportunity to go to Oman, I would definitely recommend visiting Alila Jabal Akhdar. It is worth trying.

Except for too many mosquitoes, everything else was very good. There was a female manager in the lounge? Or someone in some other position, but her attitude was a bit strange. The staff in other restaurants and hotels were very nice, and I even bought a drink. I haven't played indoor rock climbing, but I have completed outdoor rock climbing! Butt slides are useful. If you feel that there is no place to step, just lower your center of gravity and slide down. There was water in the cave, and two Gulf guys in the same group fell down. I slid down steadily. Although my pants were ruined, it was really stable and I didn't fall. I will come back again! P.S. If you book both Alila and Annatara at the same time, find a driver outside the hotel to pick you up, pay attention to the price. I found a driver to pick me up from Muscat to the foot of the mountain, and another driver from the foot of the mountain to the hotel. The price of this part is reasonable. But the price between the two hotels is slightly higher. It costs 20omn to find Alila to pick up from Annatara to the hotel, and 15 for the driver outside.

Definitely a hotel worth a special trip. You need to drive a four-wheel drive to get there, and there are many curves along the way. Valleys, cliffs, sunrises, sunsets, stargazing, all kinds of scenery are top-notch. The restaurant is also good. The chef’s Hunan steamed fish with chopped pepper is something he learned from the Hunanese.

A very special cliff hotel. The hotel is on the edge of the cliff. The room looks out to the Grand Canyon. The interior of the room is very clean. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring pools and an infinity pool overlooking the Grand Canyon. The main food you eat is Arabic and Western food. In the morning, you order in a self-service format. You need to speak good English, otherwise the food you order may not be what you want. There is a small hiking route in the hotel, which is suitable for family outings. There are many marine animal fossils on the route, and there are supporting publicity boards introducing the fossils and surrounding creatures. Those who are brave and physically fit can try canyon rock climbing.

This hotel should be the best hotel I have stayed in Oman. The room is very big and the view is not ordinary. The hotel built on the edge of the cliff, you can watch the sunrise and sunset, very beautiful. The breakfast was also very good, and the service staff were very nice and helpful. Regarding the service of the hotel, the view is impeccable. The only thing to note is: if you are driving by yourself, you must drive a four-wheel drive up the mountain, otherwise the police at the checkpoint at the bottom of the mountain will not let you go up the mountain. Just before I went up the mountain, I went to the car rental company to re-rent a four-wheel drive up the mountain (the local four-wheel drive rents about 30 to 50 riyals a day). If you don’t want to rent a car and drive by yourself, you can make an appointment with the hotel 48 hours in advance and let the hotel arrange a car to pick you up at the foot of the mountain, but the cost is very high, and the round-trip fare is 130 riyals. It's also worth mentioning that if you don't want to eat the hotel's dinner, you have to bring food up there, and you basically can't find a place to buy food after you go up. If you choose to dine at the hotel, basically the cheapest is about 15 riyals per person.

The hotel is full of Arabic elements and has a refreshing feeling. It is a shining star in nature and is worth staying.

The resort is truly beautiful, very relaxing atmosphere in quite yet amazing mountain area. Food is excellent, staff are very attentive, they even remember what I like most from my breakfast in previous day and offer me to have more of that stuff. My room was always clean and tidy, such a cozy place after long trek outside. What I even admire more, they place a bag for guest who wants to leave their clothes and they will donate it to local community. I found that very thoughtful ❤️

From amazing luxury palaces to modern venues in the region, Alila is the hidden gem of the middle east with an amazing landscape and breathtaking view that is only surpassed by the deafening silence over there! The premises are smartly designed to enhance the experience of the natural environment and provides luxury experience in its simplest form. Describing the experience will not pay it tributes: the best way is just to visit and listen.

Alila Jabal Akthar is a special place which we cannot get enough of. The facility is excellent and set in the mountains of Oman and is truly serene and peaceful. The views are indescribable and it does not matter how many photos we take, we are unable to capture the beauty and magic. The hotel itself keeps getting better and maintains its excellent standards. We stayed for 5 days and could have stayed longer! The guided adventure activities are a must and the Via Ferreta mountain experience cannot be missed: second time for us and we tried the Extreme route which was too much for us but we will return and conquer it! A new abseiling activity was a lot of fun, and we also had a guided 8KM Lost Villages hike through a nearby route which was a memorable experience: start early to miss the midday sun. We visited Alila in June and its claim of being 10-15C cooler is correct: it was still comfortable to sit outside all day, and at times a cooling breeze was lovely. But at peak sun it does get hot and the chilled pool and hot outdoor jacuzzi are the perfect solution. One of the best features of Alila are the friendly and helpful staff: they elevate the experience of every stay.
