Room introduction The tea garden visit in the package is a complete routine of promotion. The promotion activity of visiting this old tea factory lasted more than an hour, and more than four hours were wasted! There are good and bad differences in the five small houses in this group. Be careful. In addition, call the hotel one day in advance. Please confirm with Ctrip whether this phone can be dialed! The hotel waiter has a very good attitude!

British-style villa, the bathroom is so beautiful! Enjoy the beautiful scenery alone, the swimming pool view is very good, and the hot water bath is very comfortable! The butler-style service is very commendable. We discuss food with guests every day and arrange where to go as much as possible. Every aspect is satisfying!

It’s such a perfect hotel. I have to go back and stay for a few more days to express my love for this hotel. It creates a hideaway between Tea Mountain and Bihu Lake. The food is worthy of being a classic product of Relais & Châteaux.

This was our fourth visits to Tea Trails and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Dunkeld again and were looked after like royalty. The place oozes luxury through its seems. Every possible request or need is taken care off and it’s the perfect place to relax. We will be back again next year. Thank you to all the staff and particularly Nilatha the Villa manager and washantha our guide yet again this year.

We spent three nights in the Norwood Bungalow, one of five bungalows in the Tea Trails. We also had lunch at two other bungalows: Castlereagh and Tientsim. All of the bungalows are impeccably presented - beautifully presented, well-maintained with polished floors, crisp linen, hot water, lovely gardens, breathtaking views, a swimming pool…. and most of all, wonderful staff who are professional and courteous. The food is outstanding in both quality and variety. We toured the nearby Dunkeld Tea Processing Centre and were looked after by Bernard, who explained the history of the tea trade and the processes for making tea, from growing the bushes through harvesting the crop, sorting and rolling the leaves, producing the loose leaf tea and pancaking it for auction. Fascinating.

We stayed in the Summville Estate with only 5 rooms. It was in our opinion the most beautiful landscape we have seen during our 23days trip around Sri Lanka, with all the tea plantations which surround the lake, just few steps below, where they offer you a free transfer accross the lake to the other Tea Trail Estate. We had a beautiful but too short time there with an excellent chef serving you local or international food at its best. Thanks to our butler Dasun and the entire team who made our stay so memorable. This was out first stop of our honeymoon and it was the most tranquil peacful start to our trip. We stayed in Dunkeld bungalow and it was beautiful, very clean and the staff were all so attentive and friendly. Our Butlers Samantha, Priyantha and both house attendants Sathsara and Varun were excellent and made our stay really enjoyable. The food is excellent too. We walked from our bungalow to another one for lunch and the staff and food were equally as delicious there. Whilst we were there we did a guided walk with our very knowledgable and friendly guide Wasantha. We also went out on the lake for a kayak ride and our guide Dhanushka was also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I could not recommend this hotel more! I have been lucky enough to visit some amazing hotels as my father was the founder of Small Luxury Hotels and this is up there in the top 5 hotels I've been to.

Brilliant morning. Guide was interesting and informed, in both tea tour and factory visit, and quite engaging in his approach. Would highly recommend. Takes in culture and a perspective on Sri Lankan life on a tea plantation over the ages.
