It’s such a perfect hotel. I have to go back and stay for a few more days to express my love for this hotel. It creates a hideaway between Tea Mountain and Bihu Lake. The food is worthy of being a classic product of Relais & Châteaux.

Every superlative you’ve read about this hotel is true. It’s fantastic! Nothing, but nothing, is too much trouble. The food was great. The welcome generous. The atmosphere so peaceful. The only warning, if you plan to get there by road it’s a long, bumpy journey. Worth it when you get there though. If it’s an option for you consider going by float-plane.

Nous y avons séjourné 4 nuits à Tientsin en famille (2 adultes et 2 enfants: 7 et 11ans) dans le cadre d'un séjour sur 3 Relais Châteaux (Ceylon Tea Trails, Wild Coast Tented Lodge et Cape Weligama). Le service est irréprochable et les attentions quotidiennes. Un remerciement plus particulièrement à Nesa pour son professionnalisme et sa bienveillance. Les repas sont délicieux et adaptés pour les enfants. Le lieu est reposant. Nous avons visité la manufacture de thé (un petit bémol car la visite est exclusivement en anglais et un audio guide serait un plus). Nous avons fait une randonnée dans les plantations de thé de un peu plus 5Km...magnifique. Vous trouvez également sur place un salon, une piscine avec jacuzzi, un jeu de croquet, des jeux de société, un terrain de tennis. Les chambres sont spacieuse et la décoration raffinée. En résumé, à faire absolument!

We stayed at the Summerville bungalow- a fantastic location having a terraced garden with magnificent views of the lake. Service from the staff led by San was impeccable and all the staff were so friendly. The food was amazing, with the chef discussing in advance what we would like for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed a visit to a tea factory, and hiked a couple of trails through the tea plantations. We also arranged to have lunch at the Norwood bungalow (transport provided) following a hike there. Thanks to all the staff for a fantastic time.

I spent two nights at the Ceylon Tea Trails, Dunkeld Estate in the Norwood Bungalow Garden Suite. A beautifully refurbished property harking back to the original days of the plantation my room is extremely comfortable, the staff are exemplary in their attention and service, I can’t speak highly enough about them. Particular thanks to Dasun, Janaka and Wahid. Thoroughly recommended
