We stayed at the Palm Beach from April 16th to 23rd. The village overall is good, very well looked after, the rooms are spacious and the cleanliness is excellent. The staff is very kind and always willing to have a chat with customers (almost all of them speak Italian). The animation is soft, never intrusive. The food is good, I would say, and a special mention goes to the Chef, who was very kind and very kindly went out of his way to please me too, in this case, the moment he was told that I am vegan. I must say that I would have still found something to eat but he also made me find some pleasant surprises! And now let's move on to the painful notes... Air conditioning, a dilemma! In the rooms the temperature never drops below 25-26 degrees and I assure you that, with the temperatures and humidity outside, they are really too many! We practically never slept well, not even one night... too hot...! All this aggravated by the fact that the power often goes out and therefore the air conditioning turns off... as a result (IF we had managed to fall asleep) we woke up completely drenched in sweat. Another sore point is that at a certain point the whole village was affected by dysentery and stomach cramps (not in all cases at the same time)....we were told upon our arrival that they are equipped with a water purifier and say blast chillers for food but evidently there is a problem.... One last thing I would like to report is the behavior of a member of the entertainment staff, who one day, talking to some customers at a table near ours , made a very acidic and completely inappropriate comment about vegans. Feeling implicated, I changed my behavior towards this person in the following days, remaining cold and detached. On the day of departure, he accompanied us to the airport until check in and, in a very childish way, greeted everyone with a kiss, including my husband, except me! It makes me laugh sincerely because it is such a childish attitude that it is absolutely ridiculous, even more so because it is carried out by a person who is carrying out a job in which he represents a company, an important tour operator like Valtour, and should be above day any subjective judgment or criticism towards a customer of the village. Everyone noticed and he just made a poor impression. Well, this had to be said. Conversely, special thanks to Alessio, the Valtour manager, an exquisite person, kind and always available to listen to everyone with courtesy and patience.
