Oa Oa Lodge

No air conditioning, no air conditioning, no air conditioning! There is no air conditioning in a humid and hot place, so you need to open the door for ventilation, but there are many mosquitoes in the courtyard. The room stuff is very old. There was another group of guests that day who, like us, decided to find another hotel to stay as soon as they entered the room!

Our stay was excellent. The setting is magnificent. It's definitely not new, but the beauty wins. It was very comfortable. Very clean. There is no air conditioning. We took the overwater room. The kitchen lacks a small gas stove, or even a BBQ. The staff is nice. The Infinity Pool is stunning, especially in the evening. We did not eat at the restaurant.

A big downside, no wifi that works in the rooms, too bad to have booked a station on stilts to be quiet and not be able to take full advantage of it. Obligation to join all the vacationers around the restaurant to receive some wifi. If this had been specified, I would not have taken such an expensive room. It must be specified on the wifi site in the common areas. The hotel declared that it was due to lightning which destroyed an antenna just before our arrival, after inquiries the explanation given was not the correct one. Otherwise no hair dryer in the room and despite the presence of a kettle no instant coffee or tea available. Air conditioning out of service Single speed fan: high, the impression of sleeping with an airplane engine in your ears, but the reception lent us a small fan. We arrived on a Sunday, the restaurant closed, everything is closed in town, impossible to drink a beer on a Sunday even in the hotel!

They charged us for a very expensive breakfast without eggs and they did not replace the eggs with another protein.... and the internet did not work

Only one night's stay (fortunately!) We occupied a bungalow on the garden side. The positive points: very friendly welcome, comfortable bedding, beautiful swimming pool area. The negative points: very dark room, not very ventilated (absence of window and dark wood forcing you to sleep with an open window on the garden level), poorly furnished and decorated, but the worst being the toilets and the kitchen area are very very dated and not clean in which we don't want to spend time at all, at the price paid for the room it's really unacceptable. We weren't able to try the restaurant because it was full in the evening so we couldn't eat there and I admit that we didn't want to try the breakfast, too disgusted by the state of the sanitary facilities. It would be really urgent to do work in this hotel
