Great location next to the Hangman’s bridge and island. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Couldn’t do enough to help, which was great. Excellent mini welcome muffins. Thank you. The room looked lovely and modern. But when we saw the air-con machine we we’re grateful for this. But the machine pipe had to go out of the window otherwise the pipe pumps hot air around the room. The lead for this would only go in one place by the window and wasn’t strong enough for the room size. As I said we were grateful for this, but another oscillating fan may have been a better option rather than this machine. The beds were a little firm and not enough pillows. We were only here for one night so it was ok. The toilet also occasionally continued to fill up after so many flushes. We had to flush again to stop the water noise. A small rig by the bed on the wooden floor would have been a nice touch as well. Great choice in the minibar too! Warning - there is NO lift. Overall a lovely traditional hotel, but I don’t think we wouldn’t stay here again.

Easy to find in the old town using google maps, just ten minutes’ walk from the train station. The hotel is not on the ground floor of the building that it shares. When I arrived, I had to press a buzzer to get zapped into the building from the street & then it was into the lift (or stairs) & up to reception located on the first floor. I arrived at 13:00 not expecting my room to be ready but after just a ten-minute wait, I was told that my room was ready. A friendly, if not a little bit slapstick, (as a number of guests arrived at the same time to check in) check in then ensued with Ingrid during which I had to fill out a registration form & I was given info on breakfast times, my Wi-Fi code & a map of the old town. I was given two keys, one for my room & the other to access the building’s main entrance. With all that done it was off to the lift & up to my fourth-floor room. My room, no. 409, was a single room & just about big enough even for just a solo traveller. It was aged looking but clean & overlooked a busy street. Heat wise, it was very, very warm as the temperature outside was in the high twenties. With a laminate wood floor there were a number of facilities ….. wardrobe, smoke alarm, luggage racks, tv, mini bar (photo attached), work desk, chair, lamp, electric fan, trouser press, large mirror, radiator, single bed, small electric fan at the head of the bed & several spare electrical sockets. A large window gave a lot of natural light but unfortunately let in a lot of noise from the street below…people, traffic, music…well into the early hours. Closing the window helped but sleep quality was poor. Wi-Fi was hit & miss, quick to connect to with username & password required & had ok speeds but I had to re-enter the username & password whenever I returned to the hotel. The bathroom was small but clean with a tiled floor & walls, small shower cubicle, shower head & hose on a riser rail, easy to control shower valve, good water pressure & plenty of hot water, hairdryer, handwash & hair/body wash in wall mounted dispensers, mirror, radiator, electrical socket, ceiling vent, one bath towel, one hand towel & a floor towel. Breakfast was served from 06:30 to 10:00. I went down at 09:20 & it was busy, but I had no difficulty in getting seated straight away. Continental buffet - it was excellent with a good selection of good quality products – yoghurts, cereals, fruit slices, cheese spreads, croissants, breads, toast, scrambled eggs, sausages, cheeses, salami, cold meats, boiled eggs, tomatoes, smoked salmon, tomatoes with melted mozzarella, honey, jams, seeds, raisins, dried cranberries, fresh whole oranges, apples, pears, bananas, blueberries, grapes, kiwi slices, a vegan selection, teas, coffees & a large number of fruit juices. Checking out was as friendly as checking in had been but without the panic stations. I left my luggage, for a short time, in the secure complimentary left luggage area. Hotel Elch has the perfect location close to the heart of Nurnberg. It was a 3 minute walk to the center of Christmas Market. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel Elch will accomadate your pets and the complementary Gluhwein was a great way to end our stay. I highly recommend staying here during any trip to Nurnberg!

We (3 generations) were to visit the city for 3 days at the Burghotel. We chose the hotel because it offers a pool + sauna. The expectations have also been fully met. The water was warm. There is also a small fitness area. The sauna - available from 17:45 p.m., was a great supplement. The rooms are absolutely ok - not big, but we didn't expect that. The bathroom looks new. The glass slide door is quite practical, even if it doesn't just contain noise. Breakfast was ok. Little minus: The coffee was not so hot, the sauce and cheese cut looked pretty packed from the supermarket. The Croissants were not entirely baked. So there would be some air up. It wasn't so important to me that I wanted to monize it. All are very friendly and premature. Questions will be answered with pleasure and patience and wishes will be fulfilled as far as possible. We would go back.

Beautiful hotel, central location, clean. Excellent swimming pool and spa. Excellent service, I forgot a sweatshirt in the room (a gift I am very fond of) and immediately they found it and sent it to my home address. Nice and good breakfast. Super recommended!

So many reasons to recommend Sorat Hotel Saxx. Location on the Hauptmarkt is fantastic with the best streets of the old town a short step away. Speediest check in and equally efficient check out by friendly English speaking staff. Good value buffet breakfast (12 Euro), the coffee - and views - were great. Plus complimentary coffee at reception all morning. Best of all, our room (502) - mightily impressed they noted our request for a view and what a view we had across the Hauptmarkt and Nurnberg from the 5th floor. Very comfy bed, effective a/c, everything well maintains. This hotel got our weekend in Nurnberg off to fantastic start. Thank you.

Bit more soul than the typical hotel in this price range. Rooms bigger than average, mini bar had free water (still and sparkling), great smelling toiletries. Attached to nice wee cafe bar, gave us drinks to take to our room at night and served us breakfast in the morning - the star of the show, incl in price. Table service of delicious breakfast dishes (please eat as much as u like). Great coffee and rolls. Loved it!
