Oban Bay Hotel

Best meal we've had in ages. Head and shoulders above anywhere else in Oban, Mull or many miles around . Service was excellent. Located on harbour seafront . I had venison sausages (which unfortunately were farmed rather than wild). Wife had best Caesar salad

Would have given this 3.5, but that isn’t available. Great location with fabulous views from the bar area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable whilst on the small side, especially as most guests are transitioning through and thus have a lot of luggage. Bathroom is very small, though an excellent shower. Price is expensive for what you get.

Everywhere you look in Oban is a postcard view, however, our favourite daily ritual was to unwind with a cocktail while sitting outside enjoying the vista of the Bay.

An excellent hotel in an excellent location near the centre of Oban. My partner and I were greeted with a warm welcome akin to a returning customer/old friend by the reception.  Although we arrived early, they took our bags and told us they would put them in the room as soon as it was ready. The rooms are of a good size and very comfortable. Complimentary tea, coffee, and tunnock teacakes, which my partner quickly scoffed. Smart TV is extremely well finished with a modern, clean bathroom The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing. It had an absolutely lovely atmosphere complimented by the most friendly serving staff. I would definitely be back on this basis alone. I had the langousines as a main and a partner had the seafood and langousine. I had a portion of hand cut chips as well, which was amazing. The portions were listed as small, which I had gone for. Thankfully, I never ordered a large as the food would have been wasted as I would never have finished had I ordered the large portion.  I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again to all the staff for going just that little step extra for the us as well as the other guests during our brief stay.

Had an amazing spa day at Oban Bay. Can not fault anything at all. Amazing massages/Facials. All the staff were extremely welcoming and lovely. Kim had organised the whole thing for us. Special thank you to her for doing that. We also had a lovely lunch afterwards with a great waiter. Highly recommend Oban Bay Hotel.

Our family bought a voucher for this hotel from the hotel website as a gift for my birthday. They paid £250 for a 1 night stay bed and breakfast. However the actual cost on our chosen night was only £160. Despite our protestations no explanation or refund was offered . His can this be described as a deal ?

Disappointing attitude from concierge staff made us feel uncomfortable. The invoice was screwed up on two fronts. First, we were being charged for breakfast on the day of our arrival which was an obvious error. Secondly, my wife and daughter booked spa treatments and one of the treatments was added by my daughter and paid for separately, but the charge was still on my bill. Thankfully, she had the receipt showing her payment and that was removed. Watch your billing!

A good base to enjoy the areas around Oban. The hotel was nice, and the bar/seating areas all very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, and the service was prompt. The food was fabulous. Dinners in the evening were very good. Fish and Chips were delicious! Beds were comfortable, and the room had all we needed for a quick stay. Thank you to everyone.

We stayed for the night on our journey around the North Coast 500. We found the reception very welcoming and friendly. The food was superb, and the cocktails very good. Breakfast was good, served very hot. The location is sensational - right by the beach. We had a lovely stay and will return!
