The scenery is pretty good, the bed in the hotel is very comfortable, you can sleep right away

🚗 Transportation: very convenient, very close to the ferry and restaurant bar
🧹 Hygiene: Hygiene is actually very average
🍃Environment: The room has only the most basic facilities, no toiletries, no slippers
🔔Service: When we arrived, there was garbage on the ground, but we were too tired and did not notify the hotel to clean it. Maybe the last person stayed there and it was not cleaned up.

Hotel not suitable for senior citizens, no porteridge, very small lift, many stairs to climb. Our bathroom would only fit one person if you were sat on the toilet you wouldn't be able to open the shower door. Only two small bedside drawers, no shelves. If you get a corner room as we did at 6.30 in the morning the traffic is non-stop, which drives over a noisey metal grate. Not all bad as the food was ok

Loved this hotel with the super friendly staff. I was delayed in Oban for two nights due to bad weather (ferry didn't run) so I took a chance on Columba. Room great, breakfast great and, as said, great staff. Special mention for the night porter who I met early each morning and to Derek working in the kitchen who I may have pestered a bit since we seemed to have historical family connections, going way back.

Dreadful, not friendly and unsuitable for elderly and infirm people. Staff only helpful if help requested. Facilities in the room inadequate. Meals basic, same veg, cooked same way for every meal. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst evemy,

Do not go near this hotel if you have any kind of mobility issue big. Or small.. Just spent the most miserable 4 day new year break there stairs next to lift were dangerous..one person lift was ancient and out of order all time till we left.. Loads of complaints as some disabled couples spent the whole time in their room because unable to tackle stairs. There was no communication from staff to guests. The list could go on.. Complete Faulty Towers disaster.

Room 202. This will be our 3rd time staying here and have to say we’ve always had a lovely room, housekeeping do a great job with what they’ve got remember this is an old Victorian building, our room had a great view over the harbour. We did change rooms because they are updating a few rooms on the first floor and the smell of gloss was quite strong but the staff were brilliant and gave us this room, we never have breakfast here because everything is soo close by so can’t comment on the food.

From the moment we arrived everything was great, relaxed atmosphere, easy check in, the staff were welcoming, professional and very helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel is near the station and town centre and reasonably priced.

Stayed here for 2 nights while on a bus tour of Scotland. There is only one way I can describe this hotel...it's a dump. Disgusting. Mold and mildew on the walls, stained carpet, window didn't open, sagging bed. The bathroom was so small I could sit on the toilet and brush my teeth and wash my feet in the shower all at the same time. Shower door was made of glass and if you tried to open it all the way you couldn't because the sink was so close to it. The only way to open it all the way would be to break the glass out of it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!
