The location of the hotel is very good and the parking lot is large. Facing the bay and port, the scenery is beautiful. The room is not big and the overall feeling is rather old, but the price/performance ratio here is very high

A great location and a perfect view from the hotel room that we had. The service was good, a great breakfast and a nice pint of beer. All in all, this is a recommend and it did take us by surprise how decent it was for our one night stay.

One of many old vintage hotels in the town and must be so expensive to maintain and keep going in modern times. Hotel has much grandeur and features. We had rooms overlooking the sea which were magnificent as the lightning changed every 10 minutes. I wouldn't want a rear view. Rooms were warm and had to turn down the radiators. If you want a new and squeaky clean hotel then try for a new build, well if you won't find one and if you did they won't be around in another hundred years like this grand old lady. Loved the revolving door.

The best moment at this hotel was when I checked out. Everything apart of staff was just bad. Old chewing gum stuck in the carpet, paint peeling off everywhere and the shower... Forget about hot water, it's just bearly warm at minimum pressure so forget about washing. Dinner oh...their menu is on a printed sheet of paper with no prices on it. I think they make the prices up just looking at you. I had £30 food allowance from my employer and for that I got a horrific starter made of old garlic bread with disgusting salmon pate probably from Lidl or something, fish and chips which were actually ok and a spoon sized cheesecake. This is no doubt the worst hotel I have ever been to. No idea how this place is rated 3.5 stars. Oh, their floors aren't levelled they go up and down and squeak terribly when you walk. Good luck!

Very chatty and friendly reception. Bed and bedding was very comfortable and clean. Rather dated and old fashioned ba rather useless television but overall it is a good old lady of a building.

The staff were all really helpful and kind and itwas in a great place. however the room and the upper floor had obviously been leaking for a long time. The window was unsafe and falling out and there was plaster falling off the walls in the corridor outside our room and our ceiling. It was tatty and looked uncared for.
