A lovely, spacious Victorian style house overlooking Loch Melfort - part of the Firth of Forth. We were welcomed by a warm hearted staff, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. A delicious breakfast was provided and the house is within easy walking distance to the town restaurants and pubs.

This was a beautiful place to stay and the hostess was delightful. It was not the most comfortable bed I've stayed in and the sheet kept moving, but it did the trick. The location right on the bay was stunning. I ate breakfast in the dining room once and it offered just about everything you could want. My hostess packed a day's food for our very early departure on a day tour and it was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend Alltavona!

Just perfect. The owners are friendly and helpful, the building is lovely and well maintained. Our room was in the annex and decorated beautifully with a fantastic shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was a selection of salmons, fresh fruit and breads, muesli and boiled eggs, all eaten while watching dolphins swimming in the sea.

Came here first some years ago when Carole and Alan were there and absolutely loved it. Beautifully decorated rooms and excellent breakfasts. Close to Oban with great views of the sea and ferries going. Carole is an excellent host and I highly recommend it

Beautiful guest house. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy and stylish. Lots of tea and coffee options in the room; mine had a Nespresso machine in it this time. Staff are always so pleasant when they welcome you.
This is my second time staying and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Oban.
The only negative is parking. While I’ve never had a problem, just be aware that spaces are limited and you may have to park across the road. There’s also the potential to get boxed in which isn’t ideal.

We enjoyed the view from our room over looking the bay with its sailboats and ferries. Alltavona was very comfortable and our hosts were wonderful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Alltavona’s location made it an easy walk into Oban or hiking along the waterfront. An incredible place to stay!

Used a reward night and booked a double king room which for the price £130 (had £95 reward), however I received a twin room. The hotel guest house was at a high standard and I slept a solid 10 hours on the single bed due to exhaustion and it was very comfortable.
However if I had other plans then this would,have been very disappointing.
