One of the best hotels in Ohrid. Excellent service and clean rooms. The hotel is particularly popular among Polish tourists. In the summer of 2024, we will also go to the Granit Hotel. Warm recommendation..we booked this hotel through Rego Bis

I had room on third level with lake view. The view was beautiful. Food was excellent, room was comfortable and very clean. Personal was very pollute. Internet was very fast the pool is great and parking is free near the hotel. I recommend this hotel.

The views of the lake and the sunsetting over the Albanian Mountains from the terrace is wonderful. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and there are some nice shaded sitting areas where you can read play cards or simply admire the views. There is no entertainment at the hotel which was a nice change. People were very friendly and it was a pleasure to meet some of my fellow travellers from the UK, The Netherlands Germany France and Iraq, but that's where most of the positives end. ROOMS The rooms are dated and small. just about big enough for two. They were cleaned daily and the towels were changed daily. We booked a room with a lake view and all we could see was a conifer tree, so ask for a third floor room if you book with TUI and want to sit on the balcony and watch the sunsets. STAFF were pleasant and helpful especially the reception staff who spoke English. BAR The way the bars are organised could be improved. We all know that with all inclusive your choice is limited, but there is only one all inclusive bar that is inside by the reception. This meant that if you were on the lake side or by the pool you couldn't use those bars and had to go up at least 3 sets of stairs to get a drink, not good if you had mobility issues. The bar had the usual limited range of drinks and tea/coffee available however the coffee machine and soft drink machine really needed a good clean and no tonic water. (I went to the local supermarket and brought my own). Why you can't use any bar is a mystery. however the beer, wine and Gin are very palatable and free flowing. FOOD The food really lets the hotel down. The breakfast had a range of cheese. cold meats salads fruit and yoghurts. There was also sliced bread for toast all of which was nicely presented and tasty but the hot breakfast was awful. Fried eggs and omelettes that had been cooked hours before and all dry and congealed. Lunch and evening meals were slightly better with grilled meats fish and stews, typical for Macedonia, but again they were cooked hours before and left to dry out and were just warm enough not to be classed as a cold buffet. I opted for the stews. Top tip go early when the food is a bit fresher. Fortunately it's cheap to eat out. There is a lovely restaurant about 800 meters from the hotel, left across the beach to the main road, next to the supermarket, Simple food grilled meats and stews but fresh and warm Meal for 2 with beers about £12. OUT and ABOUT Ohrid is easy to get to about 5 euro's in a cab. lovely historic sights and city centre. Boat trip to St Naum and the bay of bones 13 euro's from Via they pick you up from the hotel jetty. Taxi to Struga 15 euro's . In short the hotel was just good enough to get 3 stars and TUI need perhaps to evaluate if it's good enough for their portfolio.

The only positive about this hotel is the lake view. When I arrived I was shocked at how run down and old this hotel is. It’s like a scene from a local hotel in China from 1980. I’ve been to China in 1980 and I know how it’s like. Buffet breakfast and dinner are terrible and not edible. These people don’t know how to cook. Moreover they still cook like it’s in the 70s when people consumed tons of sausages, cold cut meat, tough meat that’s completely overcooked, fish cooked so tough you can’t even cut it, no salad or green veggies. The only green is boiled green peas. After one night, I have decided to leave. There’s not enough water pressure for a good shower. It’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in recent memories. Shockingly bad!!!!! There are other much better and cheaper options in town. Don’t come here!!

There is an awful lot to recommend this hotel. The views of Lake Ohrid are spectacular and the hotel has direct access to its own private beach. It is located a short taxi ride away from Ohrid itself. Unfortunately although it is close to a bus stop (our main reason for choosing the hotel), very few buses were running when we visited in September. The staff are pleasant and friendly (particularly Anita on reception) and the rooms are cleaned daily. Towels are also changed every day. As a relatively new British tourist destination, Macedonia is attracting slightly more adventurous tourists and certainly when we visited, this made for a hugely entertaining visit. The evenings were spent in the charming company of our fellow travellers - we barely noticed that there was no hotel entertainment as the hours passed by in convivial company. The hotel plays background music, which certainly adds to the a**osphere. The main way that this hotel lets itself down is through the food. Breakfast is usually my favourite hotel meal but food is cooked and then left out for up to three hours resulting in lukewarm congealed omelettes and fried eggs. Not pleasant at all. The same is true of the chicken which was invariably over-looked and dried out. However, there was always lovely fresh fruit at all meals and salads for lunch and dinner. This hotel is billed as Four Star but if you're expecting the kind of four star hotel you'd get in Greece or Turkey, you're going to be disappointed. However, if you lower your expectations and use it as a base to explore this amazing area, you'll be assured of a memorable and enjoyable visit.

Loved the hotel, had a decent room with a large balcony with fantastic lake view. Comfortable beds, towels changed every day. Food was fine, never had a problem with them running out, if anything there was more left over, rather than actually running out. The pool area was great, never had an issue getting a sunbed anytime of day. Actually the water in the lake was warmer than the pool! As others have said it is quiet at night, but Ohrid is a short cheap taxi ride away. We enjoyed the hotel, and had no issues with it, the staff, the food or the location. It was a quiet, cheap sunny 0scenic holiday, and exactly what we wanted.

The location of this hotel is fabulous.... great views and right on the lake. 6km from the town but easy to get there by taxi or public bus. Rooms are very small and the food limited choice and lukewarm!

What to say nice? The lady on reception for two days was very nice, spoke good English and appeared helpful. The rest of the bar/restaurant staff need some serious training. I’m sure the ‘all inclusive’ won’t be coming out of their wages, so when breakfast is listed at 8am-10am, it is not helpful to pretend at 9am there are no more bananas or toast! On the subject of All inclusive, the food is average at best, the snacks served from 12 noon till 5 mainly consist of an ice cream cornet, and occasionally a tray of sausage rolls. One of our party had a nut allergy, and none of the staff could say whether the sweet selection (3 types of cheap cake) contained nuts, leaving her every night to have a fruit salad. On the last night the waitress said she had to pay for any additional food. The All inclusive’ bar shuts promptly at 10pm, and has a mediocre selection of local drinks, which again the surly bar staff think are coming out of their own wages. That aside, the hotel is ‘tired’ and in desperate need of an upgrade.

Below average hotel in a stunning part of the world. Firstly I’ll start by saying the local Macedonians are all lovely, all the taxi drivers and the waiters etc have been fantastic. The same DOES NOT apply to this hotel. The beer and alcoholic drinks are only all inclusive until 10, not that it matters as there’s only one beer (usual for an all inclusive and not the end of the world) but the selection of spirits was none existent. Only one bar is all inclusive which means if you want a beer with your dinner then you have to go back upstairs. When you get to the all inclusive bar you need to summon a member of staff over from where ever they’re sat on their phones to pour you a beer and they are anything but polite and pleasant, this is the theme of the hotel. Only one member of staff was pleasant with us (a young girl, who unfortunately I forget her name always said ‘cheers’ to us, lovely). I tried my best to learn some basic Macedonian, hello please thank yous etc, and when spoken staff couldn’t even crack a smile, yet it was met with great pleasure outside the hotel. Staff need lesson or two in customer service for sure. The food is average, not terrible to be fair but nothing to write home about, the bad point is that my Fiancé is allergic to nuts and the hotel had virtually no interest in this, we frequently asked what was nut free and instead of getting an answer the staff would just walk off leaving you dumb-founded only to return 5 minutes later with a plain dry fruit salad and nothing else, a bit much to be eating that all week. Snacks were apparently 12pm-5pm but this was just ice cream, hardly a snack. Breakfast runs 8-10am and at 9:15 we asked if there was any more Greek yoghurt, to which the member of staff replied ‘no, finished’, with 45mins left but this is the problem, at 10am they literally close the doors and turn the lights off whether you’re finished or not. The rooms are tired and need a fair bit of TLC but to be fair the beds are quite comfy. Our shower leaked in most places and clearly there isn’t much maintenance inspection going on. The room doesn’t have basics such as a safe or iron but they offer an ironing service for around £3 a shirt… There was no entertainment, not the end of the world for us who came as an 8, and we ventured into Ohrid Town a few nights (absolutely great restaurants and a**osphere), but if you were a couple expecting for a lively night, this is not the hotel for you. That being said, the views from the terrace are stunning and perfect to have a quiet drink and laugh with family and friends. The pool, the pool actually wasn’t too bad to be fair! Sun beds need replacing but the pools clean and fresh and a good size. We preferred the lake which was actually warmer than we were expecting and again felt very fresh and clean. We hired some paddle boards and had great fun on them. Just pretend they don’t have a gym because they might as well not. I’m into my fitness but I wouldn’t expect a world class
